| ![]() My new girl Princess is a barker...and Cleo is second in command in the barking department. Princess noticed her reflection in the oven and barked. She too barks at the wind. I have the can with the coins, but where the heck is that thing when you need it?!? I also use the SHHHHT sound, she looks at me and goes right back to her barking post. We are moving to our summer residence with my boyfriend's mom so we can rent my house. That should be quite nervewracking for an 84 year old. Hoping the interior doors between her part of the house and ours will be sufficient. Forget it if the windows are opened. Dreading this summer!

| ![]() Buddy use to be like that but I swear by the pennies in a can. Someone on YT suggested that to me about two years ago and it worked. I had purchased a no bark devise that sat on the counter and gave off a high pitch noise, did not work, I bought a plug in that sent a scent off like that of a mother dog to calm the pups down, did not work, I tried the spray bottle, did not work but Bud got soakin wet and did not care, then the pennies in a can. Boy did that catch his attention and fast. He sees me reach for that can and he runs and hides. LOL It has so many dents in it because at times I hear him barking when I get all the way down stairs and I have to go back up, grab the can and throw it in his directions. He runs for his life! LOL Thank heavens for the pennies in a can. It's the only thing that he's afraid of. |

Mine are both big kids, Raja @ 11lbs. and Nahla @ 9lbs. Update on our barking situation: Nahla wore her shock collar for a whoping 3 days before quiting the habit! So far we haven't had to remind her by putting it back on. I'm so glad we didn't have to use it "forever". I've also had Raja sport it a couple times and he doesn't bark at his triggers anymore (slamming car doors or horns beeping). It was worth every penny, even to be used so little!

| ![]() Is Maggie food driven? If so, I was taught to allow her to bark three times (that's what dogs are suppose to do), say the words "thank you" and offer her a treat. It will take alot of consistency but it works for mine. Believe me, if they are word driven like my four, then they look forward to me saying thank you. |

| ![]() All of my 3 dogs are ferocious barkers, one, usually Chewy will start this wild mad dash at something he heard and the other 2 will join right in, I have a shock collar for Chewy and we've gotten to the point where I don't have to turn it on and he'll not bark at all when he's got it on, I have one for Choupette as well but she takes no mind to it, she'll just bark non stop and god knows it must hurt but she does'nt seem to care. ![]() I managed to find a remote shock collar for Tucson, who weigh's about 4 lbs, it's very tiny and I control the remote, it has four intensity on it plus a sonic good dog and bad dog sound, it's made by Innotek. I only had to use it once when the barking really got out of control, since then the sonic sound is enough to let him know that if he does not stop the shock will follow. So far so good, but with no collar they don't listen at all. Go figure!!
