The smallest bark collar I've seen in our local pet supply store should only be used on dogs 8 lbs. and up. I don't think they exist for any dogs that weigh less than that (though I could be wrong here) and yorkies are generally 3-7 lbs.
Mine are both big kids, Raja @ 11lbs. and Nahla @ 9lbs.
Update on
our barking situation: Nahla wore her shock collar for a whoping 3 days before quiting the habit! So far we haven't had to remind her by putting it back on. I'm so glad we didn't have to use it "forever". I've also had Raja sport it a couple times and he doesn't bark at his triggers anymore (slamming car doors or horns beeping). It was worth every penny, even to be used so little!
