I am so happy your baby is doing well. She is blessed to have a good home otherwise she may not have made it.

My vet is pretty no nonsense and constantly available...and I was in a position to be home so I could force feed her with Science Diet (prescription) every 2 hours for the first month and a half or so (via syringe)...plus a lot of nutrical and caro syrup...and pepto bismol.

We got her because we needed a puppy asap (personal illness and two deaths in my family). I was honestly surprised that she made it through everything.

That said, her papers say she is a yorkie but there's no way she's full-blooded. We're pretty sure she's a morkie. I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world, but I hate that she went through all that and can't imagine the pain for the people whose puppies didn't make it...I don't think there's much one can do except hold their breath and tend to them.

My mom has what is reputed to be Nora's sister. The two girls couldn't be more different...as in not the same breed. Mom experienced no complications with her puppy...but mine's cuter

My deepest sympathies to those who lost their little ones. If it's any solace, mine is spoiled rotten and deservedly so
I am so happy for you. Yes, we will do anything to keep them healthy and safe. I have one from a puppy mill who has a genetic pancreatic disease. It costs lots of money to keep her alive and healthy but it is worth it. Blessings to you. ~Joanne~

Love Old thread but she's still at it!!!

My wife and I bought a yorkie pup from this woman a few weeks ago. When we got there we couldn't bare to leave him with this woman, he wasn't exactly what we wanted but who cares. We probably saved his young life, as she said no one else wanted him!!! I won't go into details other than to say we had the exact same experience as EVERYONE else on this thread! I have reported this woman to PETA, SPCA, Morgan county authorities, as well as ALL the local news stations and news papers. It's horrible that she has been at this all this time and nothing has changed...if we all work together perhaps we can end this atrocity!!!

Thank you for reporting this woman. I hope you continue to do what you can to shut her down. If you were worried about the pup, I feel so badly for the pup's parents, who are much more likey to be mistreated.

It's really hard to close the mills down, especially those that sell directly to the public, they need no licenses or inspections. We need to remind everyone buying a pup that they must visit the kennel in person before buying. Report the abuse to animal control. If you buy a pup to "save it", you are enabling the breeder to continue breeding. Unfortunately, most people can't bear to leave the pup, but it would be better to use your energy to close the place down.

i'm just so scared right now
lillie never came in direct contact with its pee or pooh, i dont think she ever licked it or anything
What is bad, you were walking all around that filth and disease ridden property, and now you have that all over your shoes and you have walked around your own house.....THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I DO NOT ALLOW PEOPLE LOOKING FOR A PUPPY, TO WALK ALL OVER MY PROPERTY! I have no idea what kind of areas with possibly sick/dying puppies, people looking for a puppy, have walked around on, before coming to MY home....this is the exact situation that got ME contaminated with Parvo, making 2 litters deathly ill, almost 8 years ago and closed my business down for almost 2 years. And this happens all the time!
I hope your puppy stays well....stay on top of it, watch your baby closely, and go to the vet IMMEDIATELY if that baby starts vomiting, having diarrhea, or is lethargic.

GoogleEarth is a wonderful thing! You can see what the property looks like before you ever go there! If it looks like a slum area, stay away!

Here is a picture of the property from google earth, as well as a couple pictures of the kennel sores that our pup had. If we had found this forum before we went down there we probably would not have gone.

I'm sorry for what your going through, I am glad you did find YT and now you can help your pup by getting good advice here and sharing your experience with others. Hopefully now you will advocate against these type of "breeders".

Good Luck and take care of the pup you "rescued"...

I have never advocated in favor of this type of breeder! When we talked to this woman on the phone she said that she just had a couple of dogs that she bread as a "hobby" and she boasted about how she "loved" animals. We found out the hard way the unfortunate truth that she was NOT who she played her self out to be! When we were originally looking for a puppy we wanted to avoid big breeders at all costs for this very reason. We did not go down there with the intention of "rescuing" anything. We only wanted a family dog and not a show dog or anything thing of the sort. And let me go on to say that the implication that we previously advocated in favor of this type of breeder is NOT APPRECIATED!!! Note the action I took when we found out the truth. If you read through this thread as well as this one http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...shut-down.html you will find that nearly all the people posting reply's had the exact same experience. It is unfortunate that after seeing my posts you feel the need to point a finger and make assumptions as to our intensions. I recieved no advise from anyone on this forum, and in fact did not even find this forum until after I had started the reporting process. It was only after I read the 11 pages on this thread that I felt the need to join this community (I just joined yesterday) and share my experience with other. And to let the other people that have had the unfortunate displeasure of encountering and dealing with this woman know that someone had the drive to go to the lengths that I did and will continue to do to get this woman shut down. Please do a little more thorough research about that which you are speaking before you make assumptions about people and their intentions.

My first post has to be approved by a moderator. Assume it was meant before "And furthermore" once it appears!

You obviously misinterpreted something in my post. I am applauding you for rescuing this puppy, I too learned the hard way about breeders and storefront sellers etc., 420 is my birthdate, stop personally attacking and insulting me and my birthdate.
