Yorkie Talker | Then accept my apologies. I mistook your sympathy for sarcasm. Please always remember, emotion is very difficult to convey in text. |

Yorkie Talker | Update to everyone. I have heard back from the State vet's office and they are investigating. I also heard that the board of health is involved. Hopefully this keeps rolling in the right direction. Last edited by YorkieOwnerIN; 04-26-2012 at 08:44 AM. |

No problem, I know the many emotions your going through right now. I see that this is a somewhat rural place...where I got Miss Mini (Pet Store) is located in a plaza. I plastered posters all over and held a sign up as a single picket, now they actually have a "movement" that pickets there and we are trying to get legislation to close them (been unsuccessful so far), our politicians are really really trying, I hope that someday its successful. I'm sure if you get a petition going, many of the non local folks here would probably be willing to sign.

| These pictures make me sick. I, too, was misled when I bought my first little one and I have paid the price! My sweet Lola has had many health problems but I am so glad that I rescued her from the horrible people I bought her from. I know exactly how you feel...I applaud you for what you have done in both saving your little one and trying to put these monsters out of business. It should be, and hopefully one day will be, a crime for what they do to these helpless little creatures. |

| Click on Nancy's link in RED, you will find excellent breeders in every state. Sometimes driving a few extra miles can save you a good bit of heartache. I do hope this woman has been shut down.

Yorkie Talker | Update!!!!!! Tomorrow 5/2 Lois is being forced to surrender some of the sickest puppies to the Martinsville Humane Society and then Friday the state vet is going to the puppy mill with the humane society for an inspection. This isn’t over yet, like last time Lois has been given notice to clean stuff up before the state comes in. I pray she doesn’t slip under the radar again! If you are interested in fostering or making donations for these saved puppies and dogs please contact the Morgan County Humane Society 765-349-9177 |

Yorkie Talker | Update!!!! Update!!!! Update!!!! Great news everyone. As of today Lois Hancock has been COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. All dogs have been surrendered to the local no kill humane society!!! Thank you to everyone who called. The human society said they have been inundated with calls in the last couple weeks. The humane society could only say. "At this point it is a legal matter, and we can't tell you anything else" So charges are being brought against her!!!! The state vet has shut her down. Wooooo Hooooo!!!!! |

Yorkie Talker | Wish List! Please help if you can! Here is a wish list for the Morgan County Humane Society for the puppy's that were saved. We talked to the director and they said that they are overwhelmed by the sheer number of animals that were surrendered. They need help. They had to enlist the help of 4 other local shelters just to handle the number of animals. They said some of the pups could be weeks or even months before they will be eligible for adoption, because they are that sick! ANYTHING that you can help with will be greatly appreciated! | If you find a questionable breed I agree that is so sad. If you find a breeder like that unless you have a great animal control center that is non kill shelter you may find them not so forceful or concerned. In some cases theses shelters may have euthanized the one that ha the missing eye I have found from volunteering the ASPCA is one of the best resources you can use in this case. They will help get theses little guys to a safe place. The others thing I would suggest is look for a yorkie rescue group. They will help you in these situations as well. I would use animal control as a last resource unless it is a NO KILL shelter |
