| ![]() I know this is an old thread but just a quick follow up. During the back and forth with Peg, the owner of TLC kennel it was said that she and her husband were 70 years old, and the reason for getting "rid" of some of their pups to a rescue is because they were trying to cut back on their "work". Now they have maltese dogs and maltese pups and morkie pups. Looks like a lot more work to me....Maybe they should change their name to TLC Puppymill.

| ![]() I bought a puppy from Beaufords and toured their kennel nursery when I went to pick him up. It was very clean as were all the puppies and my little guy is not only beautiful but very fiesty and healthy. I wasn't happy about the additional charges when I got there and would have liked to know that I was only getting a limited registration in advance. As far as being a puppy mill, I don't know. I would think it would be difficult to give that many dogs the attention they need but maybe they have staff? |

| ![]() I've always wondered why there's never no address. Only e-mail address & sometimes phone numbers. To me---- no address---- screams puppymill. Missiouri IS the number ONE puppymill state. . |

| ![]() They will give out an address and directions, however I could understand why someone wouldn't want to post it on the internet. It's not unheard of for farmers to have herds of animals stolen. If someone can steal a herd of cattle or pigs in a few hours how long do you think it would take to steal little dogs? Much easier to get rid of as well. I could also see it from a biosecurity standpoint. If someone took the liberty to let themselves into a kennel and walked through with feces on their shoes they could spread Parvo or any number of diseases to your dogs. Not trying to defend anyone here but trying to look at all angles before making a judgement. |

I'm just surprised that all the red flags on their site, the fact they are USDA and run a large kennel didn't distract you from buying from them. I see that you also breed mixed breeds though and am I reading your site correctly that you are breeding a 3lb & 4lb Yorkie??

I am pretty sure everyone here has researched how yorkies came in to being. It was done with careful research and consideration to the lines they were breeding from to produce certain, standardized characteristics. The same can not be said of Morkies.

Do you or do you not have a 3lb female & a 4lb female listed as breeding dogs on your site? In fact you have that the 3lb female is now pregnant. That is extremely small! Though, I guess that is what you are going for since you point out that the 4lb female will have "tiny little babies." I do not need to do any research on Yorkies or the history of them. That has nothing to do with today or people purposely mixing breeds. I'm not saying you do or do not provide proper vet care, but I don't understand anyone breeding Yorkies that small or mixing breeds. I'm sorry, but as a buyer these are things I would stay away from because I would question any breeders motives for breeding under those circumstances.

Hi Leslie, I honestly do not believe Beaufords is or was ever involved in any puppy mill. I too live in Florida. Three years ago I did some intense web searching for a yorkie and came across Beaufords website. I was given reference names of others who bought yorkies from them and all had only good things to say. I made the decision to purchase my baby. As anxious as I was to get her, they would not ship her to me until she reached a certain weight as they were concerned about her health and safety. When I finally received my baby, she was exactly as promised. I had her vet checked within a few days and was told she was very healthy, well cared for and surely came from a great breeder. I have recommended Beaufords to friends. A year after I got mine, a friend from here in FL, bought her yorkie from Beaufords...in fact, they have the same daddy. I would buy another yorkie from this breeder in a heart beat! ![]() | |

No Longer a Member | ![]() Beaufords welcomes anyone to come and view their puppies and property in person. They are not hiding anything. I think its sad that people post accusations before they know the facts. |
