We are judging based on the website, there's plenty to judge on that, there is no way I'd ever recommend anyone visiting this breeder, you only should visit breeders who you actually want to buy from. You didn't see the kennel in person, so you really can't comment on whether they are a puppy mill or not.

I think it's a tragedy that people like you enable this type of breeder to continue.

Just as you say I can't comment on whether its a puppy mill or not because I have not seen the kennel in person, neither should those saying it is when they havent seen it. My yorkie has been healthy and happy from the day I got her...this says alot about the breeder.

I think that would be kind of hard to do since google maps puts their address out in the lake.

But aside from that, let's look at some facts. All info is taken directly from their website.

Fact: You can purchase a dog, sight unseen, for a non-refundable deposit submitted over the internet. Just fill out a form, send in your payment and when the payment has been verified, the dog is yours. Great breeders require meeting the potential owners (or at the very least speaking with them directly) and evaluating whether or not they are a good fit for the dog. They require vet references.

Fact: Great Breeders don't sell on open registration to someone they don't know. Beauford Kennel will gladly sell you an open registration for an extra fee.

Fact: Great Breeders don't breed dams under 5 pounds, yet they list several that are smaller.

Fact: Great Breeders stand behind their dogs for the long haul. Beauford's only "health guarantee" is if a dog dies from a congenital cause in the first year of life. It's limited to a replacement dog (provided you pay for shipping the new dog...) It specifically denies coverage for parasites, diseases, LP, heart murmurs or anything else that can be treated with medication or surgery.

All in all, absolutely NOTHING about this site should be misconstrued as being "great breeders". I won't even go in to the fact that the dogs appearances are way off standard.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain the connection between dogs and ashtrays for sale...

Wow!! Did you notice they are selling 3 girls that are pregnant and advertise one that will be in heat soon.
On top of that they have 30 puppies for sale, not counting the several adults they are selling as well.They are located in Missouri, puppy mill country.

Yeah it really sounds like they care about their yorkies.


It does say they are retiring, I think that is a wise decision.

i did see at the bottom of the page there are selectable options such as puppies, sold puppies, ash trays!

she/they are selling a bunch of vegas ash trays that look like they came right off the shelf at the slot machine!
