If I were in her situation, I personally would have kept the dog only because that poor baby doesn't need to go on another flight back to the breeder. But I would have been seriously pissed off at the breeder for LYING to me and I would have made sure she was damn aware of it. I also would have posted on YT and other forums to warn them about this lying breeder. I definitely agree with you ... what people said to her wasn't so bad that it should have puhed her to leave YT but I guess maybe she is super sensitive about it all. I just hope she decides to come back because we're overall such a great group here.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Very true - unfortunately we see alot of breeders skirt around the truth.. it's just a sad part of doing business since yorkies are so popular now - I really do wish her the best and maybe she'll keep her - I sure hope so... it did sound like the breeder was working with her so either way - I hope it all works out. |

it was both see she wants a 7month old dog that would be a certain tiny weight. but if the breeder gave her a younger dog at the specific weight she wanted a 7month old day to weigh then the dog would be bigger than what she bought. i hope i broke that down good enough. thats what i told her i said why would it matter about how old she is she will eventually be 7months and she said no i but i was promised a 7month old at being this tiny and now i got a younger dog that is this weight so at 7months it wont be that tiny. so basically it was all about the puppy not being as tiny as she wanted her. | |

I hate that she left before reading these also and I am in no way bashing her as she was just bumfizzled and scared. She thought she was being picked on because we all felt for the pup instead of agreeing to send it back. I don't feel anyone intentionally slammed her....actually she slammed a couple of people. and V....thank you for obviously being the person you are. The world needs more like you! BTW I am in no means taking up for the breeder as I do not agree with her site AT ALL! But to call her a liar when we never saw the pup and can only go by what the woman said is not a nice thing to do either.

| Just an update, the puppy was safely returned. I even called because I couldn't tell if she made it there by my air waybill number. I made sure she had chewies and toys and put a limit on how long the lady had to make the return flight arrangements. The man at the airport that helped me was a Godsend. My nerves were shot, I was crying at the drop of a hat...he talked to me for a very long time. I do have it in writing that the puppy was NOT close to the age she represented. I contacted two breeders who confirmed this and one in person who deals with very small yorkies. I talked to a vet who has a 2pound full grown yorkie as a patient and deals with tinies. He assured me what the breeder was trying to tell me was NOT possible. She insisted vets can be wrong. However, I had 3 vets(including hers) and 3 breeders of smaller yorkies who advised me. Also, I found some of her ads misrepresenting other puppies(one she had previously listed as 11 weeks automatically jumped to 22 weeks old since mothers day). On a postive note, I see she has now changed back the ages to more correct ones and lowered her prices to reflect their actual ages(rather than trying to say a younger dog was older and smaller therefore worth "more"). So far she has refunded half my money and the other half to come in a short period of time. While I still miss the little girl, I did do what I felt was right. I just didn't want anyone to think it was because I had a change of heart. When my Lola came to me she was barely 1 1/2 pounds so I have no worries taking care of a tiny, it was the shock of receiving a puppy that did not look like the one I had picked out and was clearly months younger than she represented it to be. Age is not something a breeder is mistaken about, it was a blatant lie. Of course she would be willing to refund my money, fraud is against the law and falsifying registry paperwork is not a minor slip up. Hopefully the rest of my money will be returned and no one at YT will go through this or purchase from anyone who's using the words "teacup" as a selling gimmick. I did contact V to let her know how things worked out and she suggested having my membership reinstated. I was quite emotional(probably dropped about 3-5 pounds in one week)and considering I'm only 5ft tall it wasn't a good thing. I apologize for saying I found her heartless. I know she was only concerned about the puppy. My sister liked the name I picked out and she's pregnant so maybe I'll have a Zoe in my life this year. Puppywise, it'll take awhile for my heart to heal and I definately will not be as trusting. I'll count my blessings though, I read many postings of people who receive sick animals and suffer through that. It truly makes you appreciate the wonderful breeders you see on Yorkietalk.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh good - glad to see you back ...we can all understand being emotional but it's good to see you posting and I'm really glad she's ok.... it sounds like because of you the seller is cleaning up her act regarding HOW she sells on her site but I still feel sorry for her dogs...she's really taking the word teacup to the extreme....and that 'One Day Sale' has been going on since this thread started - what a gimmick she has going ! |

| I'm so glad you came back!!! I know how hard this was for you but I think you did the right thing. This breeder lied to you (you have 3 vets, including her OWN vet, saying that) and I'm glad you didn't allow her to get away with it. I know you're going to miss that little girl but hopefully by your story, others will know to avoid this lying breeder. I hope you start feeling better soon and I'm glad you came back.
