Just an update, the puppy was safely returned. I even called because I couldn't tell if she made it there by my air waybill number. I made sure she had chewies and toys and put a limit on how long the lady had to make the return flight arrangements. The man at the airport that helped me was a Godsend. My nerves were shot, I was crying at the drop of a hat...he talked to me for a very long time.

I do have it in writing that the puppy was NOT close to the age she represented. I contacted two breeders who confirmed this and one in person who deals with very small yorkies. I talked to a vet who has a 2pound full grown yorkie as a patient and deals with tinies. He assured me what the breeder was trying to tell me was NOT possible. She insisted vets can be wrong. However, I had 3 vets(including hers) and 3 breeders of smaller yorkies who advised me. Also, I found some of her ads misrepresenting other puppies(one she had previously listed as 11 weeks automatically jumped to 22 weeks old since mothers day).

On a postive note, I see she has now changed back the ages to more correct ones and lowered her prices to reflect their actual ages(rather than trying to say a younger dog was older and smaller therefore worth "more"). So far she has refunded half my money and the other half to come in a short period of time. While I still miss the little girl, I did do what I felt was right. I just didn't want anyone to think it was because I had a change of heart. When my Lola came to me she was barely 1 1/2 pounds so I have no worries taking care of a tiny, it was the shock of receiving a puppy that did not look like the one I had picked out and was clearly months younger than she represented it to be. Age is not something a breeder is mistaken about, it was a blatant lie. Of course she would be willing to refund my money, fraud is against the law and falsifying registry paperwork is not a minor slip up.

Hopefully the rest of my money will be returned and no one at YT will go through this or purchase from anyone who's using the words "teacup" as a selling gimmick. I did contact V to let her know how things worked out and she suggested having my membership reinstated. I was quite emotional(probably dropped about 3-5 pounds in one week)and considering I'm only 5ft tall it wasn't a good thing. I apologize for saying I found her heartless. I know she was only concerned about the puppy.

My sister liked the name I picked out and she's pregnant so maybe I'll have a Zoe in my life this year. Puppywise, it'll take awhile for my heart to heal and I definately will not be as trusting. I'll count my blessings though, I read many postings of people who receive sick animals and suffer through that. It truly makes you appreciate the wonderful breeders you see on Yorkietalk.
