she was just licking the sack, she keeps walking around the rom...not pushing with the last 2 contractions...what is the white thing? should i let her break the sac if she wants to? |
2 Attachment(s) okay new pics... |
At this point I would break it myself, but it's okay if she does too - if the head is the end that is out suction the mouth and nose first and then grasp it by both shoulders or both hips and pull gently with contractions. |
All the dark area is puppy. The sack is like a glove on their body. |
I just see fluid I see no puppy even though I do not see a puppy should I still break the sac thank you so much I Am So Sorry you do not know what a extremely big help you have been to us the water in that sac feels kind of cold |
Is the sac at least 2 1/2 inches - if yes, break it. |
yes it is |
Break it and let's see what is going on with the puppy. |
i broke it and a brownish liquid is coming out all over she is licking it and i can not see what is going on there is no puppy there |
the liquid is just dropping it is punctured a little it is dripping out it is not completely depleted |
The liquid is normal are you 100% positive there is no puppy? |
yes there is still some liquid in the sac and there is no puppy out inside the brown bag there is a yellow bag |
No leg, no tail nothing exposed? |
inside the brown bag there is a yellow bag and i am confused because i thought inside the yellow bag was the brown bag |
I have no idea what you could be describing - a bag within the bag??? |
thats what it looks like |
should i break both bags |
I would say it was a puppy that hadn't developed, but I would think it would be dark colored, not yellow. I've never seen what you are describing and I've seen tons of puppies being born. |
It won't hurt - maybe you have a blonde Yorkie, but the bag within the bag still doesn't make since. |
What day of pregnancy is this? I don't even think she's early because usually you would have placental separation and the green discharge before a puppy is born. |
day 62 no green dischrge |
Just found this article, sounds like your situation - does it look like a mummified fetus? - This dog goes on to deliver healthy pups. http://www.ridgebackdogs.com/puppies.htm |
1 Attachment(s) see the bubble now? she is running sround durring contractions laying in between...this is strange. I wonder if I should break the yellowish bubble, which looks like the water sac...but what is that sac around it. If I do not figure it out I am going to take her to the vet |
I don't know what you are going to find, but break it. |
I still can't see a yellow bubble, but it really doesn't look like a puppy in the bag either. I am hoping the dark area at the bottom is a puppy though. |
ok...im gonna brak it but her daddy went to go get car...i will try this last resort...i am so worried. she is doing okay just about the puppy |
also her contractions slowed... |
i give up...i am taing her in...omgoodness... thank you so much for your help up to now...i will update as soon as i get home, promise |
You can have up to an hour or more between pups. I am sure Mom is just fine, maybe something odd just went wrong with this pup's forming, but the other pups could still be just fine. Have you broke the bag yet? |
Good luck! I'll say a prayer for you all. |
