| Hi, I just bought a yorkie from S & V and she is doing great!!! I was recommended to them by a friend of mine who has two dogs from them, a yorkie and a maltese and both of them are SO CUTE and have GREAT dispositions...I definitely got scammed on the price..$2000 FOR BROOKLYN is a bit high and it seemed as if he was making up prices as i looked at all the faces--they saw coming a mile away, BUT my dog is the cutest, sweetest little thing EVER and I brought her to the vet and she said she is VERY healthy and doing great and for that it is all VERY worth the price! I was very weary in the beginning, especially based on the appearance of the place as it can use a makeover, it is dark and dingy, BUT as far as the puppy goes, SO far, so good...especially since I went based upon my friends strong recommondation and read all these posts after. The people that worked there were pretty nice and patient while I picked out my little puppy. The one thing I am still a little unsure of is her age, they told me she was 13 weeks, but i got the feeling the entire time that was a stretch being that she was so tiny, but her paws are slightly bigger and she seems to have gained quite a bit of weight in the last week or so..i'm not that concerned, from what i read now, the bigger the healthier and that is great! I am more then willing to answer any questions and attached a pic to see how cute she is! |

| Hi everyone. I am new here. I just wanted to say that i purchased my baby girl from S&V as well. I adopted sher on the 14th of April. She was $1100. She is 18 weeks and weighs about 2 pounds 4 oz. When I took her to the vet on the 18th of May, they told me that she was in good health, but they wanted to see just a little more weight on her. I was told when I got there that she was 13 weeks old. Never knew her weight then. Also, it's been 6 weeks and I have still to receive her registration papers. They told me that her breeder is R. Wall. Her parents are Littlest Boy Bleau II, Little Meadow II. Has anyone had any difficulty with receiving their papers? What do you guys think about her weight? VET says just a little more...not much. Still, I feel that she is too light. Please let me know what you think. Thanks in advance. Does anybody know who R.Wall goes through as far as the Kennel Clubs? Does anyone have any pups from Jan 07, 2007 litter? Please let me know. |

| Hi, Glad to hear your puppy is doing well. I just checked the papers they gave me when I bought my puppy and it says that the father is Littlest Boy Bleau II and the mother is Little Penny II and she was born on 2/6/07 and the breeder is R.Wall. I guess Littlest Boy Bleau II was either very busy, or maybe they are from the same litter. I called S&V for the registration papers and they told me 6 weeks and it hasn't been that long yet..will keep you posted. Do you have a picture? Does yours have floppy or pointy ears? Winnie has floppy ears, I know they are supposed to stand up, but I like them the way they are and hope they stay down As for the weight, Winnie was 2lbs 1oz when I took her to the vet at 13 weeks...our vet said the same thing, that she was a little light and she wanted her to gain a little weight She said she should be about 4-5lbs fully grown..We are going back on Tuesday for a shot, so I think we will know more then. As for the price you paid, much more reasonable then mine, especially given they are about the same size...As I suspected, I totally got taken on the price..oh well. How is your puppy training going? We are crate training her right now, she is doing pretty well, only one miss/accident a day or so and she knows how to sit and give her paw. She is teething like crazy, but to be expected with a puppy that age i guess. I would love to find anyone from the 2/6/07 R. Wall litter!!! Enjoy Memorial Day! |

| I would do a search on S&V. I have no experience, but distinctly remember threads here where the buyers had lots of problems. Good luck. |

| Thanks, but unfortunately, you can get sick dogs ANYWHERE. There are pleanty of people that have had good experiences w/S &V, my girlfriend has the two cutest, sweetest dogs from them, both healthy and well behaved and oone has the same father as mine (Little Boy Bleau II). I have my fingers crossed and hope my theory of picking a nice sturdy puppy as opposed to a frail skinny little one worked. It is nuts because after I bought my puppy, i read reviews on every breeder and store I could find in the NYC area and I couldn't find one place that has positive reviews, seems as if there are problems everywhere you go. I am glad I went to S & V bc I still believe it is better to see the puppies with your own eyes then to buy a puppy over the internet through online breeders and so forth. |

| I'm sorry but as you read and learn from this site you will see that a petstore is a petstore is a petstore. It doesn't matter the name - ours was Petland. If it's a petstore - they are pet BROKERS. period! They are buying them from PUPPYMILLS, BACK YARD BREEDERS (byb), or PUPPYBROKERS. The ONLY way to get a puppy that isn't from one of the above is to "know" the breeder yourself. Please do a search for puppymills. Please see where they get these poor puppies from. Please don't ever think for one minute that any of these places cares about your puppy - they DON"T. They only care about MONEY. Many of us have fallen for the same thing - but please don't let it blind you into thinking what they are doing is OK. Please educate yourselves and pass it on to others. I can't find one decent, ethical breeder that would sell a puppy to a petstore... so where do you think they get them? PLEASE check out the links that I have provided below. Then, please come back and let me know what you think... http://www.prisonersofgreed.org/ http://www.petstorecruelty.org/Buyin...r%20beware.htm http://www.prisonersofgreed.org/Bunnie.html

| Thanks for responding. Laila is being crate trained at this point in time. She has had a few accidents here and there. Her ears are sort of weird. One up and one down. The Vet told me that she doesn't see a problem with that. The other may stand, but then again it may not. Still no word on the papers. will continue to wait. As for her pic, my files are too big. Need to find a program to make them smaller. Has anyone ever gotten their papers? |

| Hi- I don't disagree with the issue of puppy mills, I agree they are awful, but that is not to say that S & V uses them and my puppy came from one, they tell me they don't, that they come from breeders. I have to be honest, i love my puppy and am happy i bought her, after learning all that I did after the fact, next puppy i would go directly to a breeder, but the concern is that there seem to be issues and problems everywhere you go. It is hard to know where and who to trust. As for the other woman that bought at S & V, I would love to see a pic someday! I'm sure your little one is SO cute and sweet! We went to the vet this morning for Winnie's rabie's shot, vet said Winnie is doing greats she gained 20% of her weight in the past 2 weeks, 9 oz, which my vet said means she is happy with her new home and adjusting well. As for her age, the vet said that her teeth should fall out at 16 weeks and that is the only real way to tell how old they are. He said that she looked about the right age 15 weeks due to her coordination, she weights 2lbs 10oz and he said she should be 6lbs fully grown. That is what I expected! I am still caught on the ears though---i will love her anyway she ends up, BUT i love them down He said that until 6 months, they really could stay down and then one day just pop up! So we have another 2 months to see what happens I guess! Would still love to hear from anyone that bought from S & V in w/a birthday of 2/6/07 w/a father littlest boy bleau and mom little penny! Training going well...she can sit and give her paw as of yesterday!! She is better at doing it when there is not a treat involved..as soon as she sees the treat, she looses her concentration |

| Luvs Lulu Donating Member | I went there five years ago when I was looking to buy a dog. I wasn't comfortable with the place. It's a store and there are a few dogs in the front of the store and those are the high priced pups. They didn't have much information to give as far at the parentage of the pups so it gave me a bad feeling. Then I definitely didn't want to spend what they were asking on the pups that were on "display". So the guy tells me well hold on and calls downstairs or wherever and this lady brings up two pups in my "price range" and I wasn't happy with the way they looked either. Honestly they seemed like a broker and the incomplete parental information didn't sit right with me. I recently went to their site online and I saw that it now says that they breed as well as get pups from friends that breed. I live in Queens and grew up in Brooklyn..with the amount of dogs that they had there and down in the storage area I had to wonder. I wanted to see how they were kept but that was not allowed and you have to wonder just where do these dogs get to run and play. Either way I took my money and left. I wish you well in any decision that you decide to make but for my money and piece of mind I didn't buy from them.
