S & V Quality Pups = good?

Hi all,

I am new to this forum. I want to purchase a yorkie and went to see S&V Quality Pups. I saw all the threads regarding S&V Quality Pups and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a breeder in the NYC area that is reputable. I'm a bit nervous about purchasing from S&V. Thanks in advance for any responses.

I'm sure after all you have read about this pet store, broker or puppy mill whatever it is, you will trust YTers and steer clear of trouble.

I agree 100%...The whole puppy mill problem will continue to stay HUGE until this country realizes that Pet Shops are their Biggest customers - thus shopping a pet store is supporting them. I don't mean those who didn't know better - we've all been there....but hopefully those who KNOW about puppy mills would never buy from any pet store. The facts are out there - it's up to us to do our homework on buying a new puppy.

i agree %100 with your post and on top of that you never get a good quality pup that meets the standard if your going to be paying 1000 to 2000 get a good quality pup with a great pedigree that meets the standard just my 2 cents

I hope he stays healthy but don't be surprised if down the line he shows signs of bad health. I'm basing my experience off my friends 3 dogs, yes 3, not 1. She bought the first 2 together and her 3rd was from her father, he didn't know better. So you should get your facts straight before you back a broker like Ivan. That caused my friend lots of money and heartache and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through that. The original poster deserves the truth and here it is. It is up to her to now buy one from that store but at least she is informed and knows that you had a good experience with 1 dog up to the present, and my friend had 3 bad experiences with him.

I went to someone who went on and on about her lines and full of information etc etc. She was only selling to me because I wasn't a puppy mill...it went on and on...to my surprize, when I saw the puppy, I was wondering why it didn't look like a Yorkie? I took her anyway because I was told some puppies take longer...NOW, waiting on DNA tests......Sometimes you think you're not getting a puppy mill puppy or a pet store puppy but you end up with one anyway???? It's so hard!!!!
