| Hi everyone. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!!! Anyone reading this! Please, please, buyer beware! I found this site too late. Yes "Betty" is Joanne Pauze! Only after finding out her real name, did I come across this forum. I did purchase a pup from her and regardless of pup being stinking cute, I have had medical issues with her and problems with "Betty". She said she would take care of things but never fell through. As a matter of fact she denied things. She is a dishonest person that will tell you anything that you want to hear to buy the dog. Yes the pups are from Korea. No they are not photoshopped, some pups do have big eyes. That is the Korean look. But those are about the only truths you will get from "Betty". After inquiring about UTD vaccinations and other important questions about pups health, I have her texts stating that she was extremely healthy and up to date with her vacinations and was checked for certain problems. After my vet visit (after puchase), I find out differently and confronted her on this. The 3 things that I asked about, the puppy has. She rambles on about Korean vet checks and about irrelivent things. She likes to say one thing in one text and total opposite in a text shortly after. Unbeliveable! Yes, I have all the emails and texts to prove this insanity! Needless to say, I have a pup that has problems now. I did ask all the right questions before purchase, I was just fed lies and half truths. Oh! She also weighed 3/4 lbs heavier than she told me. More lies! She clearly does not care about these dogs! All about the money! The only thing I have to say is that my furry baby is now safe in my care and no longer has to be a victim of neglect. She was underfed and had no immunities. She quickly gained weight once I brought her home. She was starving! There was other little things too that was discussed between my vet and myself that clearly indicated that this woman should not even have a pup in her care. She has no clue how to care for a dog. Beware people, she lies and gets defensive when approached! I tried to deal with her "professionally" but I just can't communicate with "stupid"! Nothing professional about her. Her website is as deceiving as she is. I never found out her real name until after I purchased! As stupid as I feel buying from this unethically person, I love my dog and I rescued that sweet puppy! That is the only way I can justify to myself the money I have spent. Just praying she stays healthy now as I have put even more money into her to get her completely vacinated and other issues fixed for her. I would love to hear from anyone else that has bought from "Betty". And if anyone has been scammed or hurt by this "woman", I would love to chat and figure out what more can be done to stop her. |

| I've just read up to this point while I have been thinking of this part of it since it was posted. I am not a breeder either so I wanted to withhold what I thought. We are so used to being honest that it is sometimes difficult to see what goes on in the mind of one that is not. They are concerned about the sale and only that. If the pup turns out to be a good deal larger and with many health problems, it bothers them not, they are out for a quick sale and it's so easy for a new pet owner to fall for their story. Do they educate as to how too small can have gigantic problems associated with it through the pups life, of course not. Yes as Maximo says, it does make sense and it makes me sick.

| I just looked at her website. It looks like they are all sold except for one for 10,500. I need to get to the bank! Those puppies all look like charactures.

| I can't believe there are so many scammers out there! Wow, again I am *so* glad that I found this forum. The information you all share is so valuable ,and, sadly, needed due to unscrupulous breeders. I appreciate all the reviews and information on reputable breeders vs those who lack integrity. This woman "Betty" AKA "Joanne Pauze" (Pauze? Really? Ironic it sounds like "paws" isn't it? What a strange coincidence?! ) definitely sounds like someone to avoid. I feel sorry for the many people she has sold to as it seems they are in for some difficult times with their pups. |

| I inquired about a puppy today, her response was he is very expensive. And I asked about his parents ancestry because I was looking for a new male. She told me they are imported from Korea by her "friends and family" and asked if I was interested in using him for breeding. I said possibly depending on his lineag. Told me her line is very important to her and does not sell to breeders, and dismissed me, I told her that's fine since I would not trust a pup's health that's been shipped from Korea to Calgary then to me in Chicago, and she wanted 7800 for said pup

| Unbelievable! Did you call her Betty or Joanne? LOL! Good luck in your search for a male pup. Update on my precious poochie... She is great. Spoiled rotten and loved greatly! I Have her finally up to date on her vaccinations and I had her spayed and she did great! Horrible day for me though as I was so nervous of something going wrong. But all is great!! It was a hard decision to make but i was thinking of her health in the long run. By the way... Vet was happy with her weight gain and progress since we've had her. She is above "Betty's" expected weight of 2 lbs ( which I paid her major $ for). She seriously needs to learn to be honest. Don't let Betty ruin it for all brokers though, there are some honest people out there that actually care for their pups. And not all pups from Korea are from puppy mills. My little girl is gorgeous and healthy now that she is taken care of properly. Korean pups need good homes too! |

| The phrase at the top where it says: "Add me on Facebook and get 5% off your next purchase!" scares me....she is acting like she is selling her puppies through Amazon! The phrase: "Our puppies range from under 1 pound and up to 3.5 pounds and are always in very good health." should be a huge red flag. Another red flag: "Our mini yorkies, maltese, chihuahua, pomeranian, and bulldogs" ... that's an awful lot of different breeds... The picture on her homepage with the photoshopped eyes honestly scares me! |

| Yup looks like a broker to me. We had some here, haven't heard nor seen them for awhile. Not sure what happened to them. Anyway in Canada. If you are purchasing from someone in Canada some things to consider. Unlike in the USA AKC a breeder can join the Canadian Kennel Club as a breeder. We are supposed to abide by certain codes of conduct etc. We pay an annual due. In return our registration fees etc are half that of a non member. so why would someone not be a member. Well, we do have rules as a nonmember rules don't quite apply the same way. Also when buying from a breeder are they a member of at least one breed club or all breed club. Again for most of these clubs there are codes of conduct and codes of ethics. You still have to check out any breeder even a club member but they are answerable. |

| Betty Pedram or Joanne or whatever your other aliases are (tea-cup yorkies.com) can't believe you're still in business. Clueless people (Paris Hilton) buying from you, having no idea where the puppies truly come from. No wonder she dumps her puppies when they get too big & all she has to do is buy another one. There are very short snouted, big eyed pups in Korea. That is the look they like. Some pics are photo-shopped, exaggerated, but they do have that look. Korea has a HUGE puppy mill problem, it is horrifyingly HUGE. IDK too much about the new law where dogs can't be imported til they're 6 months (? please someone correct me if I'm wrong) & they've had rabies vaccine. Hopefully this will curb many pups from being purchased bc they would have grown to be too big by the time they're 6 months old...but they can lie about their age so IDK how exactly it's going to help... These fancy websites that sells these adorably cute 'teacup, micro teenie weenie tiny' puppies online w/a click of a button, ALL THE PUPS COME FROM PUPPY MILLS! OPEN YOUR EYES! If you buy from them, you are keeping them in business! You are keeping the Mommy & Daddy of the puppies in their cages. Kept barely alive, just to turn out these pups. Never feeling the warmth of a human touch, never being loved, discarded like trash when they can't breed anymore. I don't know how you can live w/that, supporting these unscrupulous excuses of human beings...maybe you don't have a heart.

| Found it, here it is: USDA APHIS | News Contact: Tanya Espinosa (301) 851-4092 Tanya.C.Espinosa@aphis.usda.gov Lyndsay Cole (970) 494-7410 Lyndsay.M.Cole@aphis.usda.gov WASHINGTON, Aug. 15, 2014—The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has amended Animal Welfare Act (AWA) regulations to require that dogs imported to the U.S. meet stronger health and safety standards to protect Americans and Americans’ pets. The new rule ensures that dogs imported for resale are vaccinated and in good health, and required to be over six months of age. The new regulations are authorized under section 18 of the AWA, which Congress added in the 2008 Farm Bill. In September 2011, APHIS published and took comments on a proposed rule in the Federal Register addressing the requirements of the new section of the AWA. “This rule implements new requirements in the Animal Welfare Act to ensure dogs imported for resale are healthy and vaccinated,” said Kevin Shea, Administrator for APHIS. “This will help safeguard the imported dogs, the public, and our pets and other animals.” The final rule applies to dogs imported into the continental U.S., (including Alaska) and Hawaii, from other countries and from U.S. territories to the continental U.S. This final rule applies to dogs intended for resale. It does not apply to dogs that are imported for research purposes, veterinary medical treatment, or for personal companions. With Agriculture Secretary Vilsack’s leadership, APHIS works tirelessly to create and sustain opportunities for America’s farmers, ranchers and producers. Each day, APHIS promotes U.S. agricultural health, regulates genetically engineered organisms, administers the Animal Welfare Act, and carries out wildlife damage management activities, all to help safeguard the nation’s agriculture, fishing and forestry industries. In the event that a pest or disease of concern is detected, APHIS implements emergency protocols and partners with affected states and other countries to quickly manage or eradicate the outbreak. To promote the health of U.S. agriculture in the international trade arena, APHIS develops and advances science-based standards with trading partners to ensure America’s agricultural exports, valued at more than $137 billion annually, are protected from unjustified restrictions. View the final rule here.

| One more & I'm done for tonight...WARNING: the pictures in this link below are very graphic & disturbing to some. This is where the cute puppies come from, this is what happens to the Maltese Mom, forced to have litter after litter in her short 7 years of life, stuck in a cage w/little to no medical care. Just to have her puppies yanked from her as soon as they're weaned, as young as 4 weeks old. The others, not so lucky when they retire from giving birth to puppies all their life, they get sold to dog meat restaurants. Rescue from Suffering in a Korean Puppy Mill This is the truth about Korean puppy mills, a real problem in Korea & those of you purchasing online are supporting it. I pray that this helps @ least one person change his/her mind & you spread the knowledge...I pray w/all my heart.

| I cannot believe that Paris Hilton paid $13,000 for this little guy. Now, she is giving this alleged unethical broker publicity. Also, this woman seems to collect pets the way she does shoes and handbags. Then, she gets bored with them and it's on to the next adorable thing. I remember once reading a gossip expose on her and one of her former maids said she would let her dogs poop all over the house and never clean it up. She also stated that Paris once went away and her maid claimed that she found two of her dogs dead from neglect. I am speechless.
