| Also found this link that is interesting. It backs up the claim that more than 40% of the imported puppies that were randomly checked by vets "Arrive with false paperwork, landing at younger than 8 weeks old, often too young to grow teeth and receive effective vaccinations." And that is just in the L.A. Airport. Those adorable teacup pups, loved by celebrities, often begin life in abusive breeding mills | GlobalPost

| Please be aware of these people whom import these poor puppies from Korea! After doing much research on these baby face yorkies I have been made aware of these people who claim to breed these puppies from their home but in fact they are imputed from Korea! I have read reveiws about some whom have purchased these puppies only to have them get sick and die. Please do your research if you are looking for a yorkie and buy from a reputable breeder in your area! BABYDOLL FACED YORKIES / CANADA | TEACUP YORKIES in Kelowna, B.C. I read the entire thread and feel horrible about those that support 'brokers' and sincerely wish that anyone looking for a yorkie will adopt a rescue yorkie or seek out reputable breeders, such as those who you'd meet in a show ring. These doll faced, teacup, baby doll yorkies...it's so sad what they've turned the breed into. Not because of how they look, but all the health implications that come with breeding them this way. I hate how celebrities have made them popular. I've also read all the sad stories posts on YT about how dear yorkies under the age of 3 die from horrible health issues. It's too too sad. Quote:

| I feel sick to my stomach. I am going to post a review about the breeder I bought from....she is not on the list. But my spider senses were tingling from the moment I placed my deposit. My baby came to me INFESTED!! With ear mites. The breeder....wanted me to take my puppy at 6 weeks...the day after she had be vaccinated. The breeder REFUSED to tell me how much she weighed. The breeder lives 2.5 hours from me. I met them 1/2 way and picked up my 7week old puppy. The same day I had my vet give her a thorough check up. My 7 week old puppy weighed 1.32 pounds.....she couldnt eat the dry food they sent with her and I gave her water through a syringe. Before I picked up my puppy...I wondered if there even was a puppy. The breeder is "ckc" registered and "they sounded so nice"...but from 2 weeks (deposit) to 7 weeks (pickup)...the breeder seemed off...but I thought it was me. I paid 2500 and my puppy was paid in full before I picked her up..I paid my email transfer...have email note confirming my puppy was paid in full...plus I have a receipt. When I bought my baby...the breeder said she was going to be 3.5 pounds full grown. At 14 weeks she was 3.08 pounds....personally...I dont care how much she weighs...I love her just the way she is. However.....they charge $1000 extra for tiny and my little girl was the only girl they had and they said that is why she was 2500 rather than 1500. When I phoned the breeder when my baby was 14 weeks old...they started sending me emails (which I have)....Saying I didnt own my puppy they did. They sent emails saying that my puppy was still registered and microchipped to them. They sent me an email saying they were " taking her back". I didnt respond to these insane emails. I feel like throwing up just reliving this. I love my little girl so much....but could she have been a brokered puppy? She is beautiful...healthy and happy at 5 months and 4.3 pounds...I'm happy she is not a tiny! |
