I remember reading that too. Now whether it's true or not...I don't know. I found the article below from back in 2008 about the dead dog in her closet. Pet Ownership May Prove to Be Paris Hilton's Chappaquiddick

| With all due respect to Paris Hilton, I honestly think she just bought those "teacup" little guys to put them in her purse. The poor pups and their moms. Now "Mr. Amazing" even has an Instagram! Instagram. For this puppy's sake, I hope he lives longer and happy and healthy. Shame on the author of this article too and the newspaper. "home-based business specialising in hard-to-find bloodlines" "Pauze, who middle-mans deals between high-end breeders in Korea and a very selective clientele, wouldn’t confirm the price she and Hilton agreed on for Mr. Amazing, only to say that the dog is worth $13,000." "Pauze deals only in rare bloodlines of Yorkies, Pomeranians, Maltese and Shih Tzus" Is he TRYING to promote puppy mills and teacups?

| This "Joanne Betty Pedram" person probably has sold hundreds of these little guys ever since she was promoted. The poor little guys. Some people just have to learn the hard way.......

| DAMN IT! I AM SO MAD! Tiny dogs from Calgary in high demand after Paris Hilton purchase | Watch News Videos Online So ridiculous & I just realized that Betty's Teacups is in Canada, so the new USDA law (about imported pups having to be fully vaccinated & 6 months old) does not apply to her! This has gone to an all-time low, I HATE Paris Hilton now, my neutral feelings for her have now turned into full on rage! PARIS HILTON SUPPORTS PUPPY MILLS!!! YOU ALL BUYING FROM THESE BROKERS ARE DOING THE SAME!!!

| Notice how after the first week of getting him, Paris hasn't posted any more pictures on "Prince Hilton the Pom" on her social media..... Poor pup...he doesn't look too healthy.....

| I just checked twitter. The pup did have his own twitter page, but it's not there anymore and she hasn't mentioned the pup in weeks. Not a good sign. |

| Same on his Instagram: Instagram Looks like Paris even removed his profile pic! Last picture was of the pom in the sunglasses on September 19. Same pic on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Either the pup's not ok and she discarded him, or she got bored and discarded him anyway.

| I would be willing to bet that her PR people told her to take down any social media promoting the dog. I would be very surprised if something bad had happened to the dogs, it's much more likely she realized this was bad for business. So she took down the instagram and twitter accounts. |

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Betty's Tea Cups - Happy Customer We found Betty's Tea Cups because of the TMZ story on Paris Hilton. We had been looking all over North America for a breeder or broker. We were specific in what we wanted and are happy to have seen this story. We just got our Yorkie from Betty's TeaCups 5 days ago. He is exactly as advertised and promised. He was delivered on time without incident. We knew when looking for a Yorkie that we wanted an exceptional small one. This is our 4th Yorkie and we are well acquainted with the breed. This time we wanted a tiny one. We knew this would mean paying a premium for our puppy. Although we paid a premium price, we got a premium dog. Within 12 hours of his arrival we had him to our personal vet for a check and she came back with an all clear (with the exception of a minor case of sniffles from transit). He is adorable, sociable and the cuddliest yorkie we've had. He is now 5 months old and weighs only 20 Ounces. He is charted to be under 2 pounds fully grown. Betty's TeaCups got us exactly what we wanted and we are thrilled. I am aware that not everyone on this forum agrees with the really tiny dogs, but in the right home with the right care they are amazing pets. We have no small children, we are very educated on the avoidance and prominence of hypoglycaemia. We knew what we wanted and can more than effectively ensure a long and very happy life to our newest family member. It's not for everyone, but it is for us. When looking for our breeder, we carefully reviewed every single breeder/broker in North America. We literally spent months doing our homework. They all have complaints. It's up to you, the consumer, to do your due diligence and determine whether those complaints are justified or founded. Check their grammar. Check the rationality of their comments. There are a lot of internet nuts out there with nothing better to do than pick fights from a keyboard. It's your job to sort the nuts from the legitimate complaints. Take the time, like we did, and find someone you are comfortable with. Check the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection agencies. Check for litigation against the company and/or principals. In the end Betty's TeaCups gave us exactly what we wanted and gladly paid a premium for. We have no regrets and have an adorable, sociable pup that came exactly as advertised. A big thanks to Joanne for this exceptional addition to our family. |
