Princess Sophie acts and we feel like she's always been here. We just adore her! Even when she's making this low growl sound and scratching at our leg because she wants us to play with her. I think my husband's work schedule has her confused. He works a rotating shift so some days he works days (7am - 3 and sometimes till 7pm, then for a time he will work miss (3pm - 11pm), then it's days from 11pm - 7am. There are a lot of 12 hour days so when the DH is working nights or miss, she wants him up to play with her. I do my best to keep her company and to keep her busy. I am thankful for nap time as that's when I get to do the things I need to do around here to keep up the house. LOL I think we would be lost without her and I think Hansel would be lost as well. Even though Sophie still runs him around the island in the kitchen and stands to clean his ears and simultaneously bit them. She also bites his stubby little tail. Just so you know, he does stand up for himself and he lets her know when she's gone too far. TeeHee! We have a very happy household!!

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() Finding a reputable breeder that is also a YT member. I think to refresh your memory go to the Guide to Finding a Responsible Breeder. There was another great article I read on-line about that self same subject that was very well written; unfortunately I did not save the article or bookmark the site. But I think one thing to think about is what for YOU is desirable in a breeder how important are some of the following things to you: 1. How much support the breeder offers each purchaser over the life time of their pup? 2. How much contact once the sale is done do you want/need from the breeder? 3. What happens if you have a health issue with the puppy? I mean above and beyond what the breeder is willing to put into the contract? Do you get the sense she will support you if needed finding specialists, understanding the health condition better, even take back the puppy or some other option. 4. How important to you that the breeder is a member of her National Breed Club, does rescue work, trains with her Yorkies, or does other performance sports, does volunteer work for the club or the Shelters, provides an active lifestyle for her dogs? 5. Are you willing to buy from a first time show breeder? Or very new breeder to the breeding world, if all the requirements that are important to you are met? 6. How important to you that the breeder actually breeds Championed dogs from a reputable registry? 7. How important to you, that the dogs/puppies be raised in a home environment? If the breeder has a separate fully a/c heated, kennel with constant access to the actual home would that suffice in your mind? 8. How important to you is the temperament of the dog you want? 9. If you could not see the actuall breeders home and dogs in their environment - how important is that to you? There are probably more questions, but you get the drift I think of where I am going here.

| ![]() We just launched a new web site with a breeder search and user reviews. Please follow a link in my signature, if you are looking for a Yorkie breeder near you - we currently have about 100 Yorkie breeders listed. Keep in mind that breeders that advertise on Vadzilla.com were not pre-screened, so please do your own due diligence, once you identify a breeder you like. We would also greatly appreciate if you post your experience and a review with us as well, to help other people looking for a Yorkie puppy. Best of luck in your search.

OP, stick with the original advice. Start with the breed club and work your way out from there.

You have one post and you are already a Donating Member. Humm is that so you could advertise cheaply? And your first post is to advertise a website for selling dogs. It seems very likely you are just here to advertise your business. Does your website actually have any usefull information, such as links to research articles, Yorkie health issues, how to know if you have found a reputable breeder, training needs, how to groom a Yorkie.

Be careful making quick judgements, after spending 2 minutes on site. One difference Vadzilla.com has over other similar sites is that we have breeder reviews. So if you really feel strongly about a certain breeder (the one that you wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, for example) and would like to warn others - PLEASE, REGISTER WITH US AND POST A REVIEW! That would do way more service to the community than simple bashing of a service provider. The main reason why I am posting at this site is so that people like OP are aware of the tools available to them, and ultimately post reviews for breeders they find. Hopefully with time, enough review data will be accumulated, that it will be much easier for potential buyers to simply go to our site and make a quick and easy call on each breeder, instead of going through endless sources searching for recommendations. And we do have some specific pointers in our FAQ on how to interview a breeder, with a more information coming in the near months. Our site is still very new. Finally, I never claimed that Vadzilla is a Yorkie-specific site. I dont see why it automatically makes it a scam site, as you portrait it. It is likely we will feature the breed in our blog at some near future, but if you are only looking at sites that have helpful articles on Yorkies, you might want to look elsewhere. ![]()

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() You would be wrong I don't and have not yet purchased from Amazon. I did not infer your site was or was not a "scam site", I merely noted that you came here to advertise your website. Usually donating members here, have contributed something to this pet forum, prior to becoming donating members. As far as good articles about Yorkies, there are many of them here, most of which have been contributed by our members. There are many sites of which www.ytca.org is one that has a breeder referral page on it. And it too has pages of information on the YT. You might be interested in their Health Foundation. So good luck with your business, but it truly in my opinion is not offering anything at this point really valuable to the Yorkie breed, or to would be purchasers.

![]() ![]() As for my Donating status - I went through official channels and presented my case to the site admin, before I donated. I absolutely made sure that the nature of my business is understood and received specific instructions on where and how to frame my posts. I am now adhering to those instructions. Yes, my interest is mainly in advertising my service, as it relates to the breeder search, I am not denying it. I will only post when it is relevant and appropriate, just like in the case of this original post. PS. You really have to try Amazon - they have a lot of great stuff ![]()

What makes it a scam site is that you will allow anyone who pays the fee to advertise with you. No screening, no background checks, nothing. As long as their payment clears, they are good to go. No different than puppyfind or the local classifieds. Puppyfind allows breeder reviews, too. Nothing new to see here, folks.

Over all, after having spent some time on your site, it strikes me as nothing more than another way of giving greeders a way to push their poorly bred pups on an unsuspecting public. Nothing with your site protects the buyers or the pups.

![]() Just FYI - our breeder database was created from multiple sources and was published just a few weeks ago. None of the breeders actually paid anything to Vadzilla.com for current listings. This free trial period will expire in about 2 months. At that time, it is likely that majority of breeder listings on Vadzilla will become inactive and will not be visible to site viewers. It is also very likely that IF customers make and effort and start posting DESERVED negative reviews to certain breeders, those breeders will no longer advertise with us. It is simply not worth the effort for most people to pay for advertisement and fight negative publicity at the same time. So, you see, from our business perspective, it is NOT in our interest to have reviews. But we implemented them anyway, because we knew how sensitive the community is to the "puppy mill" issue. Of course if everyone keeps closed-minded point of view, and prefers bashing instead of acting, nothing positive will come of it. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, believe it or not, it is helpful. We will try to think of ways to implement improvements to our system to address your concerns.

![]() One can always find something negative with anything, if that's all one looks for. Clearly, you mind is blinded with prejudice and I am wasting my time trying to make logical arguments. However, you are mistaken if you think that your opinion is the only one out there. I will keep posting on this site and others, inviting people to visit Find a Breeder, Dog & Cat Breeds, Kittens & Puppies for Sale, Pet Articles & Forum - Vadzilla, because I am confident that we have a superior service to offer, compared to other similar sites. And while I realize it will take time for us to gain enough exposure and build our reputation, I also know that many people do recognize the value in our service and we will get there. Regards.
