Reputable YT Breeders

Hi, I don't know if I should be posting this here but I wondered...if I would like to purchase a yorkie puppy from a good breeder associated with YT...where would I look? Who could I contact?

You would post "puppy wanted" in the section. There is a breeder section where you can read reviews etc....

Just F.Y.I.: YT does not have a reputable breeder list if that's what your searching for. There are many wonderful breeders here and there are also not so wonderful breeders here. Just because a breeder is a member here does not automatically make them a YT reputable breeder....just like others, do your research, search their name here and/or ask us to review with you!!!

No matter who you go with make sure you research them. Just because a breeder is on here doesn't mean there a reputable breeder.

Thanks so much for the info, Lynzy & Taylor. We are not ready, today to add to our family but we know that we want another. They really addicting!! LOL

I have no idea if Clinton is near Chicago, but there are some big dog shows held in Chicago. You can go to www.akc.org and look up dog shows in your state.

I suggest this, as this is one way to observe the YT's being shown, and speak to the breeders' present.

Also the. www.ytca.org has a breeder member page you can review.

Some of our members are quite capable of searching out a breeder using the internet. And would be happy to help

Thanks so much! I hadn't thought of going to dog shows. Chicago is about 3 hours from Clinton but I grew up in the suburbs and know the city very well. I appreciate the links and info!!

With that said, I believe there are many more reputable breeders on YT other than just these 2 (although, these 2 are pretty great!). As others have said, ytca.org and akc.org and dog shows are good places to look. Specifically to support a fellow YT member/breeder though..just takes some researching around here and you'll see what you're looking for.

Hi Miss Diane! Just curious how your new(ish) pup is doing?

I also want to emphasize for those that may be reading through the Forums, how important Lynzy's statement here is. There are very good breeders here on YT that I wouldn't hesitate to inquire with but at the same time I'd say use caution. It's a real shame we've lost a few GREATS over the years.
