Truth is NO, they don't deliver just like big ones. If this is your first litter I have no idea why you pick a small one when complications come up for the bigger ones as well, just not as often. C-sections aren't routine, they're painful and some dogs don't wake up from it. Any doctor who is cool with doing this to a tiny is only in it for the money IMHO. The reason people are "rude" about it is that is it animal cruelty. The mother has to carry all of the extra weight, she most likely will need a c-section and after the puppies are born it is so draining on her little body. Why put her through this? A money making opportunity? I think it's just putting the dog's life in jeopardy. I really hope that people don't make up these threads and throw out this bait just for their own entertainment. I guess some people really need to get lives. I really hope your 3 lb dog ends up delivering okay. I hope that you seriously think about what you are doing here and why. I guess you're one of those people who really have to see for themselves. Unfortunately it's your yorkie who has to pay the price if all doesn't go well. I really hope your little one ends up fine, she is the innocent one.

| Cheryl I totally agree with you. I think it's just a money thing, otherwise I can't see why anyone would put their babies life at risk. I guess this is how puppy mills and backyard breeders start out. It's sad that the poor baby has to suffer from human greediness for money.

...quite disturbing actually if you read it all. THIS, IMO, is sad. If this was an accidental case, I am sure that the comparison between the two should be quite different. Draw your own conclusion...my work here is done. I am going back to dance around that Boom-Boom Tree.

I owned a tiny -- so I can speak from first hand experience. My Katie Lyn (who sadly passed away) was only 2.6 lbs full grown. Believe me when I say that breeding her would have been ANIMAL CRUELTY. I had her spayed because I love her and wanted her to live a long and healthy life. Sadly her life is over but at least I have some comfort in the fact that I always put her health and happiness over my own selfish needs. My husband and dad bought me a new dog -- my little Tia -- and she is going to be another tiny girl like my Katie was. And what do you think I'm going to do? As soon as she's old enough, I'm going to take her to the vet to be safely spayed! Why? Because I firmly believe it would be INHUMANE on my part to ever breed her or even risk her accidentally becoming pregnant. Yes, inhumane is the word I use. Inhumane to force a tiny girl to breed when I know in my gut and in my heart that it is wrong. Inhumane to force a tiny girl to have multiple c-sections over and over again because you're simply a money hungry pig who only sees dollar signs when you look at your dog. I am not directing my post at anyone in particular. This is just how I personally feel regarding the breeding of tinies. Thanks for listening to me vent. PS - I just wanted to add that my 2 tiny Yorkies both came from standard sized parents. They were NOT intentionally bred to be super tiny and they were NOT bred from little itty bitty females.
