| This makes me happy. See? I told you we had wonderful breeders here that love these pups so much that they will do anything humanly possible to help. I hope you are discussing the details with Deb now - your mama girl couldn't be in better hands!

| I like to dock tails and remove dewclaws on days 3 or 4. I feel if you wait much longer than that it is more painful for them.

You will take Deb Sillers up on a phone offer? Seriously? You have a very respected experienced breeder near to you., you who knows nothing about whelping, breeding and rearing a healthy litter and you are NOT leaping at the chance to have some one of this ilk help you? I am to say the least surprised. If you have such a laissez-faire attitude to whelping, then hey best of luck. And I will tell Deb so, just in case she does not come back to this thread, as she is a very busy woman, and thought she had helped you in a constructive way to safeguard your very at risk gal.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Sennie just what do you plan? You a new member have come to us for help. And knowingly or not you have been the recipient of many experienced breeders opinions and help. And btw you left this to 2wks before the whelp date. Hey you are nothing if not late to the bar. Do you really actually think experienced breeders who are willing to help are a dime a dozen? Do you have any idea how bloody lucky you are? If you actually think in any way 2 wks before whelp gives you any bloody time to become at least somewhat knowledgeable about the whelping process, the puppy rearing process; then you are sadly deluded. I truly need to say this for all other visitors to this thread. You need to count your blessings. This forum, and this offer, is very unique. Something to be treasured beyond belief. That is it; I have said my peace! and that is not a typo either

Sennie - I pointed you to this section because I knew these well experienced breeders would move heaven and earth to help your girl and you. With offers to skype with you and then an offer to actually meet up with you and whelp for you (an experienced breeder who doesn't even know you but is willing to do this out of the pure kindness of her heart and love for Yorkies), these ladies sure went above even my own expectations of help. I hope you think about this a lot harder and do what is best for your mama dog. I am not in your shoes and I don't know you so I am going to trust that you want what is best for her because you obviously love her enough to come here looking for help and researching. I guess I'm just at a complete loss as to why you wouldn't want her in the hands of someone who is more than beyond capable of taking care of her and her pups. If this truly is going to be her only whelp - and yours - it's illogical to me for you to do it on your own when you have a FREE offer of help from an experienced breeder. I don't understand that decision. I just ask that you please be sure in your heart that this is not you trying to prove you can do it versus giving the best possible option to your girl. Do you truly believe it is in your girl's best interest to turn down an experienced breeder's help and do this on your own ?(trust me, you can research your tail off as you say, but nothing comes close to real life experience - in anything - not just this) Praying your girl and her pups have a safe delivery. That's really all I can do. I get frustrated when people judge others so I am trying really hard not to do that with you. I'm seriously just at a complete loss. God bless your girl........

| sooooo let me get this straight... I am a bad pet owner because I do not want to drop my girl off with not only a complete stranger to her but to me as well and walk away then come back in a few weeks? Not be with her when she has her puppies? Seriously who does that? Again I do appreciate the help, I never asked anyone to do it for me, I asked for advice and help. |

| I understand your concerns about leaving her with a stranger but Deb is a well respected show breeder not just some backyard breeder. I don't think you really realize the danger your dam is in. The sire is so much bigger and it being her first litter it will be a miracle if she can free whelp and survive. If you need a csection I hope you have the extra 2k for that. We all care deeply for yorkies here and we really care about YT members including yourself. It truly is a blessing having these experienced breeders here to help everyone. I really wish you would reconsider letting Deb help you. Praying for your little dam. God bless.
