Let me apologize on behalf of 99.9% of YT that you have been made to have to even speak on this...I, like you, was shocked that such a statement was brought on to the forum, it is more than out of line. I did report the post, and I hope others have too.

I hope you realize that many of us here, wether we agree with you all the time or not, value you for who you are NOT THE COLOR OF YOUR SKIN but rather for the words you speak on YT!

The analogy that was used was pisspoor, at best. Under NO circumstances should the plight of African Americans through the years have been compared to the difference of opinnions amongst breeders on this forum...I for one, think your pretty wonderful...sister!

Not every color is automatically paired with a genetic health problem. Yes the merles and some other "whites" do.

If I believed passionately in a certain "color" for the Yorkshire Terrier, and I went above and beyond to safeguard the health,structure and temperament when breeding for the color I want; if I had a meaningful health guarantee, if I stood behind my puppy purchasers for the lifetime of my dog; if I volunteered at my local dog club, if I funded and supported research into the genetic illnesses of our beloved breed, if I trained and championed my dogs in the venues that permitted me to. How then could you reasonably say I am Not a Reputable Breeder?????? Highly insulting to me.

For heaven sakes folks; just say without any heat, parti colored, goldens, browns, etc are not approved colors for the show ring. You can even say the YTCA, does not support the deliberate breeding of "off standard" color. Nor does the YTCA condone selling practices that mislead the public, by charging more for the "rare" colors.

Allow these folks to have the passion of their beliefs, respect their dedication to an ideal that is different to yours.

There are many more serious concerns with the YT, namely all the bybers, puppy mill churner outers, that don't breed for health, temperament, or structure, nevermind color!

This stuff is soooo mind boggling....I'm sooo confused!! It was me asking about the different breed clubs...question is the IBC a recognized breed club or do they fall into the same so called club as the Continental Kennel Club?

I know it is confusing the Continental Kennel Club, is a dog registry, as is the AKC and the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club).

Just a little background information, until the Biewer is recognized in Canada and or the USA; A National Club, will need to keep the stud book, and function as a registry. When and if the breed gets mainstream recognition by AKC CKC or FCI then the registry of the dogs will change to the AKC CKC etc. Also the AKC will only recognize ONE National Club of that breed. So the other Biewer Clubs will either fold into the "winner" or maintain a separate existence apart from the AKC recognized National Club.

An AKC accredited National Club of any breed is responsible for setting and changing the standard. All club members must vote on a standard change.

Beyond this, and the thread I linked for you, I can't add anything to the Biewer discussion.

IBC is a Germany registry, not a breed club.

I am a member of a biewer breed club. BBCA. My dogs' are registered with Biewer Breed International Registry (BBIR) located in the US.

Biewer Breed International Registry

The registry is a separate entity from the club.

Akc is a registry for yorkshire terriers, but the YTCA is the national parent breed club.

Gotcha...thanks much clearer....so the breeder i found here in Canada registers her pups with the IBC...is this a good thing, I realize its German, but i cant seem to find a Canadian breeder that registers with the BBIR. Those that register with the BBIR are all American, from what I see. I would prefer to get a pup here, as I would be able to see and meet the breeder, see her facility etc. I checked the BTRA website and again none of the Breeders listed are Canadian....

I am truly sorry if I offended anyone over the color statement, that was never my intent. Just was trying to make a point. Look at the title of this thread.... I am so sick of people making threads about me and continually blasting me for having Parti colored yorkies. I am not the only person that has parti and choc yorkies. Do a search on the internet, they are plenty, why always attack me?? They are AKC registered. They are Yorkies.....My yorkies are very well cared for, they are very healthy. I have a contract with buyers I stand behind on them for life... What more can you ask for? Because they are a different color? Geeesh How sad!
