Do you have any opinion on the many varieties of partis now being bred and whether any hypothetical color variation in the standard should include them?

Loryn Bogren (Crownridge) and Alex Gesmundo (Summit) were the two people who began the process that got the first parti yorkies registered as Parti's - they purchased parti's from Ms. Lipman.

The CYTC is not a "policing body," the club is set up as a safe and friendly place for owners of all yorkies to come to for education on color genetics; a place to show off photos of their dogs and pups, and a place to meet new people and network. We've posted standards, and we've discourage breeding the breeding of blue born yorkies and sizes outside of the standard. As YTCA members have seen with their own club members, not all abide by the written standards and rules.

Loryn and Alex may have been instumental in helping. Loryn had 2 partis and Alex had one. Gloria was shut down for 18 months and all her dogs (42 litters sires and dams) were DNA'd.

You are perfectly free to run your club in any way you see fit. My earlier mention was not meant to disparage your club, only to make you aware of something that is linked from your club's site. But, from reading your code of ethics (#7), that would seem to be a violation that you might like to be aware of, hence the 'heads up'.

Yes Loren helped get it started but Gloria is the one who had to have it done, she paid the price.

So I'm guessing that the Nikko line is the only one to have been thoroughly researched by AKC? Have the Hylan's or the other unrelated line been as well researched or are they the beneficiaries of the research done on the Nikko line and the resulting AKC acceptance? Also, just how many lines do parti breeders 'in the know' acknowledge?

I know on the Hylan Durrer one they conducted DNA on the dogs/puppies before they would register the puppies.

Not a problem, your email requests were not received but we will remove your name, business card and web link.

The COLORFUL Yorkshire Terrier Club has been open to and promotes all colors, including the traditional blue and tan, since the beginning. Sorry you were under the impression it was a Parti Only club. We don't discriminate against colors, unless the color has health problems linked to that color (like blue born yorkies) - all other colors are welcome.

Are you sure that there are NO YTCA members selling "teacups'

We cannot control what our members do anymore than you can control what the YTCA members do.

Education is a process, it does not happen over night. We do not judge. We leave that to the YTCA.

I have not spoken with anyone ferom the other lines so do not have the answer to that.

As for the looks of the dogs.

We do not have the option of going out and purchasing champion sired dogs to breed. I have said before, we have to work harder to accomplish our goals. Most of use are still on our first generation.

This is going to take time to accomplish our goals.

For someone to come on here and nosing around on everyones websites just to pick apart their dogs, all I have to say to that is you need to get a life.

This thread has gone from being educational to being a bash fest.

You aren't going to make us go away, so time for you to move on to some other topic. maybe you could go and crusade against puppy mills, that would be a far better use of your time.


Check back in on the partis in about 10 years.

You seem to be making light of what some of us do to try and stop the horrendous suffering of dogs in puppy mills.
