| ![]() Why can't they adhere to? If it occur naturally as is argue, wouldn't just be matter of careful breeding?

| ![]() I would think because the spotting is just naturally random. I don't think they did themselves any favor when they added placement to their standard

| ![]() I do not understand why they add that in if it random...How on earth they make happen? Just sheer luck, and add no credibility to cause if can't produce consistently.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() If the Yorkshire Terrier were just a black and tan dog, without any specific markings, then adding white to the mix would not be much of a problem. However the Yorkie isn't just black and tan, it's blue and gold, and the blue in itself is very difficult to obtain, and must only be on certain parts of the dog. The head, legs, and saddle all have rules for their color. It also seems like once you get the white, you lose the blue, and it's more of a black then a blue. I guess I see a problem because it just sounds like the white can be anywhere, and what about the other colors, would they not matter at all?

| ![]() I believe partis and biewers are the same dog only ones from germany ones from US. If the parti spotting is random so is the biers because its the same gene producing it

I have bred two similar marked Biewers. Both had full saddles, full masks...what many refer to as the "irish spotted gene. A gene that is suppose to be predictable. From this pairing..I produced a pup with an all white body and a full tri mask. Once again proving that parti markings are not predictable.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() Yes when you write a standard you do box yourself in, when no standard is written or you accept terms such as "random" every dog will fit that standard, but there needs to be some type of written description of a perfect example of that breed. It may be impossible to obtain, but that's what good breeders try to do.

| ![]() This where I get confused...If they exactly the same, why bother having two different name? I hear so many story, very hard to know what believe!
