Oh my goodness, I let out a squeal when I read your post and now all the dogs are barking at me! Good girl Livi, keep up the good work!!!!!

Wow, I have been following this thread all week Tammy. So glad to hear puppies are arriving finally. What a long week for you this has been.

Now we wait to hear about Ollie.

Congradulations to the new moms and pups.

Ok, third and final baby:
parti female (4.1oz.) at 5:40

I was able to get the two placentas out....special thanks to Kim ("peanut") for helping me and listening to my shaky voice over the phone. :)

The third puppy also brought her own issues. Her placenta was COMPLETELY inside Livi....there was NO cord to work with and Livi was not pushing, no more contractions. I did what Kim suggested and was able to get VERY little cord...I held it as much as I could and Geoff tied off.

I feel drained, Geoff's drained and I KNOW that Livi feels the same!!! But oh my goodness....we are sooooooo lucky!!! Livi started pushing around 4:15/4:20 and was done by 5:40. I am already in love and thankful for their size! :) I will post pictures when I can....at the moment, we all look like we have been in a war zone. :eek:

Congratulations, sounds like you and Geoff worked together wonderfully as a team ... Livi was in great hands with you too. We are all looking forward to seeing photos of your pups when you get a chance. Hopefully, everyone will get some much needed sleep tonight ;-)

Yay!! Congrats on your 3 new arrivals!! So Livi only had 3 as well?!

I am glad all went well!! I can't wait to see pictures of them!!

Get some rest, you both deserve it!!

I just have to tell you all how much I have appreciated your support during Livi's pregnancy!!! You guys have no idea how much this has meant to me...each and everyone of you have helped us, TRULY!!!

Hugs from me, Geoff, Livi and her new "parti sweets"....Cupcake, Cinnamon and Cadbury.

I have a found respect for you guys that deliver these babies by yourselves!!! It would have been incredibly tough, with all that happened, to have been by myself.

:woof: Tammy, I am so THRILLED for you! Three healthy babies with nice healthy weights and a nice quick whelp...........during the early evening awake hours. Awesome!!! I am very anxious to see pics of those little ones and mom, but will wait patiently for you and Livi to recoup. Congrats again!:woof:
..........and a big :thumbs26: to Kim (peanut) for her help. She is a great YT friend to have around. Way to go Kim!!!!:)

Congratulations Tammy and Livi!!! 3 bouncing babies and all healthy!!! So happy to hear Livi did so well!!! Big HUGS all around. Now, if only you could package that puppy breath and send me just a wee bit :D

The puppies are great at latching on, but I just checked and her milk has not come in. Should we supplement?

Congrats on the New pups, It sounds like you have had a long day.

I give my new moms calcium and Suppliment the puppies 2 or 3 times a day when there milk has not come in good yet.

Star is just now producing enough milk for her one baby and I am on puppy watch again tonight with Lillee. I hope she doesn't decide to start having then at midnight.. I'm already exhausted over here and don't know if I could stay up all night delivering pups.:eek:

I read somewhere that you can give a small amount of dark beer to help bring her milk come in. Is this correct? I sent Geoff to the store to get some, just in case.

I would give her more time. the sucking will help it come in. They can get milk where yo can't. Ollie already has milk but no babies.

I can't believe that she only had 3 as big as she was. Ollie barely looks pregnant. Maybe she's not.???????????????? :confused:

I think that Livi's body structure makes her look like she is carrying more. She is very cobby/square so that doesn't really have a lot of room. :p I don't know if that makes sense...but I really think that her little "boxy" body makes a difference.

Thank you so much...I may have to try this. The parti babies have nursed nonstop since she had them. The carrier is now latched on but needed help from my husband...although, she has done it on her own.

I hope her milk comes in really soon!! Should I start supplementing tonight?

If she is not producing enough milk to satisfy all her pups then you need to suppliment them right away. It is important that the puppies do not lose more then a few eighths of an oz. If you can feed them once and get them full this will give her a chance to build up some milk for them. Then just watch their weights closely for the first few days and make sure they are gaining and not losing. I usually see a gain of at least 1/8 oz every day for the first few days.
If a pup is not gaining or losing you need to keep supplimenting it untill it gains on it's own.
