| It is possible that she could be in stage 1 of labor where there cervix dialates. I know that for the little experience I have, mine would get lazy, dig a little, and then try to sleep. I assoicate it with my labor with my children. Before the big moment you feel like crap and then it's time to push. I wish you a safe & happy whelp.

| Thanks. Well nothing has happened as of yet. She is calm and resting. I thought the drop from 99.8 to 98.2 was significant. She is big and looks miserable. I have been up for the past 2 nights checking on her. I have to return to work tommorrow after being home for a month. My mom will watch her. I will be totally disappointed if she has them when I am working. |

| I was wondering in the first stage of labor when they say that the dam may shiver does it look like they are cold or scared? Do they continue or does it come and go? I noticed Lacey is under my bed which is not to terrible unusal but I have some boxes under there and she is wedging herself between them that is different. She did eat her regualr breakfast and her temp is 99.1. I have had so many things that seem like she is starting and then nothing so I am beginning to doubt everything so I like bouncing my observation off you guys. I hope that is ok. I have to go to work today so I have to line up a puppy sitter. Is labor any shorter in a dog that has had a previous whelp? |

| I would keep her in her whelping box if she is close. You don't want her to have the babies under the bed. Yes, the shivering looks like they are cold. Sammie shivered the entire day before she had her babies. You may want to give her some nutri-cal and see if that helps her.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Oh boy, its getting closer and closer, it seems like you will be having a house full of babies real soon. Prayer for a safe whelping going your way.

I have my mom comming to watch her whenI go to work 10:10-1:40 but will call me if labor progresses and I have some back up help if needed. I will keep you all posted!!!! |
