| The major sign that I noticed for my girls was that they would get lazy the day before. They would just lay around, not play, and didn't really do much at all except want to be right beside me or in their whelping box. Then around 12 - 24 hours later, we had puppies.

| That is what she did yesturday. She was very lazy. My husband even noticed and he never notices anything. Did you say your girl was a shiz zue? LAcey is a shizy poo. She has no signs of milk either but her nipples have grown over night. I guess I just have to wait and see. I feel at such a disadvantage and very overprotective not knowing the dates or the what the dad is. ( I hope you red earlier posts I am not the irresponsible one) |

Sammie, the mother that had the c-section on Monday, is my Shih-tzu. Even she got lazy when it was time. I bet you'll have puppies sometime tonight or tomorrow from sounds of things.

| OMG this afternoon I had to leave Lacey for a while and since she has no signs of lablor I felt ok about it so I locked her in my bathroom with a baby gate. She has her box and bed , food and water. My husband came home before me and she apparently climbed over the gate. I checked her she is fine puppies are still movin about and temp is stable. I just can't believe she was able to accomplish this. |

You would be surprised at what the adrenilin rush lets them do. I had one go in labor and I picked her to put over the baby gate while I rushed to set everything up 9it was a surprise), looked around and there she was in the kitchen. Picked her up and put her in the whelping box inside the x-pen, looked around and there she was in the kitchen again. i finally had to hold her on my lap while she was in labor to keep her from killing herself. | |

| signs of milk! does that mean anything? Lacey temp was 98.3 at 3:00 this morning and again at 8:00 (98.1) and 11:30 (98.2). I just was able to gently squeeze milk out. Yesturday I saw and felt a lot of contractions and she was ubcomfortable. She ate breakfast and still seems pretty calm. Could this be a sign that she could go into labor soon? |

| I re-took her temp at 3:46 and it was 98.5 so it went up slightly. Is it suppose to stay the same or can it vary? She is underfoot constantly and is laying around a lot. When I take her outside she goes potty several times and the will lay down and not want to get up. When I go to get her she will run from me. But I have not seen any panting or digging. What do you think? |
