| ![]() My Roxy did this her 4th week of pregnancy.. I took her to the vet and had some test ran and found out she had a small bacterial infection. They put her on antibiotics as well as an anti nausea medication. She was much better after 5 days of meds. I also altered her diet to chicken and rice with some dry/wet puppy food mixed in. I hope everything turns out ok, ya'll will be in my prayers. |

| ![]() This is a long shot, but in my head.. enemic and belly full of fluid.. is he absolutely positive there is not a rupture in the Uterus? I think I would at least ask.. She is obviously very sick. Is the green diarhea for sure poop and not coming from the vulva? I'm not sure I would let this go if it were me, even if you need to contact another Vet.. I'm sorry, I forgot.. did he give her fluids? I honestly don't mean to scare you, but they go down so quickly. My friend just lost a female to Pyometra (which is an infection of the Uterus), and she had been to the Vet 3 times, and was at the Vet overnight when she passed. Vet said Sorry, I didn't think she was that sick... Praying your Female is OK! |

| ![]() I called the vet and asked him about the possibility of pyometra and he said that the bloodwork would have shown somthing if it was that, so he did not think it was that. he did say that after I left he looked closer at a smear and it showed what is called mykoplasma. it is a living organisms that attacks red blood cells which is why she would be anemic. I am going to pick up her medicine right now. if anyone has had any experience with this, please give me some advice. hopefully the medicine works. |

| ![]() I'm glad that your vet finally figured it out. I really hope the meds work quickly for her. I didn't see that it would cause diarrhea, but I haven't researched it very far. How did she get this? I understand how it is contracted, but I wouldn't think that would apply in your situation.

| ![]() I am not really sure how she got this. the vet said that a lot of dogs have this micro organism in them but their immune systems usually take care of it. he said that it is rare that it affects them like this. but I am really scared about losing the litter because the research I have been doing says that mycoplasma usually results in abortion, stillborn, weak pups, etc... I am so worried... I can't believe my luck with this being my first time. |

| ![]() Cinnamon is doing better today. she has been drinking and eating a little bit. she is definitely more active today then she was yesterday and her diarrhea has mostly subsided. but she has not even pooped at all today. she has been scooting on the floor so I am not really sure what that means. I am so worried that her puppies are going to come out dead... I have really been looking forward to this litter so I am going to be so devastated... |

| ![]() My female is due on the 16th. She had thrown up a couple times but last week she started vomiting a lot and she was panting so hard it scared the hell out of me. I called the vet and he wanted to see her right away. He said she had gastric problems due to being pregnant. He gave me some prescription dog food and some medication. She isn't supposed to have any of her regular dog food. She hasn't vomited since. I hope everything turns out with her and her babies.
