You neglected to quote the part were both of us stated that we use the Standard as written by the YTCA. I said facetiously that we should adjust the standard. Apparently that flew right over your head.

Now would you care to explain to me and everyone else just where you are going with this line of interrogation and what it has to do with anything?

For someone who claims to be neutral, you sure like to keep stirring the pot, and by that I do not mean that you are actually physically stirring a pot.

Not a problem Woogie Man ... we won't be changing any of the "standards" information. When we update the website, we will be adding a health section where information on "Parti Coloring and Deafness" will be discussed. In that section, we will make note about "keeping color on the heads appears to lessen the chances of deafness in other breeds" (or something along those lines).

Since you are an English Major, and you seem to have some free time, maybe you'd like to write the article for us (Just Kidding)

That's good to hear. From looking at what parti breeders (of other breeds) do, it seems to be a manageable problem, so long as a breeder is mindful of it. I was never trying to be an alarmist, only posting some info, which some seemed to resent, distort and dismiss. I'm sure you'll do fine with your article. There's plenty of good research (albeit not specific to the Parti Yorkie) already done to draw from.

JeanieK, I just don't know how to answer you. You seem to spin in your own orbit. Your obvious contradictions are sprinkled throughout this thread so people can make of them what they will. Plus, no matter how I answer you, it seems like you'll have the last word.

well this is my opinion...............find some where online or in books or where ever a list that is universal to all terriers..........that way it doesnt look like you are singling out one breed and knit picking.......im all about being fair...and nice...anyone who ever takes the time to get to know me can vouch for that.......lol............i just think there should be a way of getting the information out to others without scareing people.......that's just the way i am though...........all about making everyone happy whenever possible.......but i know there are those out there that will never be happy no matter what.....if there was just a way to get all the kennel clubs to come together for the good of the ""BREED"".......instead of one Club thinking they are better than the rest.......the goal should be the same.........because for what information that is out there........the parti and the biewer came from 2 standard yorkie parents..........so yes they are yorkies......whether or not the kennel clubs leave the name in or not............like i said this is all my opinion.....ok....im getting off my soap box.......lol

Although the Biewer originated from the Yorkie it has now evolved into a breed of its own. This is where the differences lie within the clubs. Through genetic testing we are able to see where they no longer are the same breed. There is a wait and see period when all will come out.

Thank you Sierrapups. Yes, she is right, it is a matter now of waiting and soon it will all come out. Once again, the genetic marker has been identified and is becoming stronger through dedicated breeders working with geneticists for establishing the Biewer Terrier.

sophiepup......this is my understanding of the difference in the parti to the biewer.......the parti's colorings are mingled..........and the biewer's colors are in specific places and it is symmetrical.........in other words even sided......with white legs, white tail......or at least the end i think...........and they usually dont have a break in colors........sierrapups could probably explain it better than i can
