Thank you!! Yes please keep us in your prayers...I hope the babies will all be fine despite her infection. If there is ANY sign of anything strange she's going to the EV immediately. I'll try to remember to post a new thread in here when she starts so it will be easier to see!! I'll keep you updated!! :D

Sorry I will not be here today have to go to town. Been sick for the last few days and have to supply the house with food and supplies Ha Ha. Just wanted to let you know my thoughts are with you. I will check back later when I get home. Good luck and I hope no troubles and everything goes good.

Hey girls! We are on day 48 and Fancy is acting so strange!!! She is licking her vulva like every 5 minutes and she is digging in this one blanket! She never digs...EVER! If you could just please give me some insight of what is going on. I had planned on letting her use a Crate for whelping because she is a jumper and I'm afraid that if I put her in a playpen that she might try to jump out of and jump on the babies, but a crate really stresses her out and I don't think that is good. So I need some opinions here because I am lost! Thanks girls!!!

Does she have any discharge? Have you taken her temperature? You definitely don't want to put her anywhere right now where she will be jumping a lot.

Do you have an x-pen you can sit in with her. If you are there do you think she would try to jump?

Hey! She has had a discharge this whole pregnancy..Nicki said that was normal. I do not have a xpen...she wouldn't try to jump out of it if I was in there with her. I didn't want to put alot of money into the whelping area because I don't plan on having pups again. I have not taken her temp. I thought it was way to early for that. I have just noticing her being extra strange today...alot of panting, digging, and cleaning her vulva ALOT! When would be the best time to take her to the vet to get xray..last 2 weeks? She will be 2 weeks tomorrow.

Are you SURE its only day 48? Cause what your describing sounds like she's getting close

The clear discharge is normal but you need to check her with a white paper towel or tissue to see if there is any color in the discharge, like brown, yellow or green. Any female can miscarriage at any stage of the pregnancy, that is why you watch the color of the discharge and you take their temperature in case she is getting an infection like pyometra. If she is just digging a little bit then it probably means nothing. Sometimes they dig just to rearrange their bed and make it more comfortable. If she has no temperature and no colored discharge then she is probably just fine.

Teddi is still hanging in there. Her temp goes up and down all the time, she's very still and not eating much. I thought I felt a couple of contractions this morning but who knows that can go on for days. I'll have to be content this weekend to stay home on puppy watch. I'd just like her to have them before I go back to work on Tuesday. A friend came over Friday and helped me to do Remi's pups tails and dew claws. That was an experience, tails are easier than I thought but dew claws are a bit trickier. I just have to get over the weirdness of cutting off parts of these little angel's bodies. I think at this point I'd be okay if they changed the standard and we kept the tail intact. I like the look of the docked tails but doing it just doesn't sit all that well.

Hey Sandy..What does everyone think about putting how many puppies everyone had beside the little chart that you made for the dates of whelping. That way we could keep up with how many everyone had.

Today is day 63 for Misha. She keeps wanting to go in the closet and when I let her she goes deep behind the clothes. She is not panting or even cleaning herself. Just doing the nesting thing I guess.

Maybe it will be a gal month. Teddi is in her whelping box sleeping. I have felt a few contractions but she's not digging or panting yet. Just enough to keep me on the edge of my seat and homebound. Actually Tayla and Preston just climbed into the whelping box with Teddi so she has plenty of company.

She's done now. 2 Girls, 1 boy. Thanks for the prayers. I think it helped her. She did pretty good. One is having trouble latching on.
