do we have any may puppies yet?!?!

pebbles pups will be 2 weeks tomorrow night and they are both around 1 pound already! :eek: they even have little fat rolls... it sooo cute! lol

good luck to all the soon to be mommies!!

Oh Lord...yours are like little Arianna (Mikayla's singleton). She's 1 lb, 5 ounces at 3 weeks....lol

There are some complications...so I'm praying the litter goes well and there's no issues. They are going to re-evaluate her on Monday if she hasn't had them to see if she needs a section.

OH and...they did an xray and saw 4 or 5

Yahtzee's at Day #33 and not showing. I plan to give her some extra grooming this weekend and take some belly shots. I'll have the 3yo g-son and 5mo g-daughter, so might not get close to a camera!

Wait...did you mean to say "now showing"? I think I read that wrong...

Chloe is on day 35 or 36 I think...and she is big already. I need to take some belly pics of her. :p

It's a long story...she has a uterine infection. Temp went way up to 104.5 and I knew something was wrong. Luckily they think she contracted the infection later in the pregnancy (they don't know the cause)...so the puppies are alright. They're still moving, but the vet suspects there could be some complications. He estimated her to be on day 65 or 66 from ovulation...based on how developed the puppies are, and he said they should've already been out...so if they don't come out soon...she may have to have a c-section.

I'm trying to be positive though...I just hope I don't have another litter like Mikayla's...:(

I assume she been put on antibiotics and if so should that not of took care of it. Or has she been having a discharge?
Does he think she needs to be spayed ?
SOrry for the questions.How long is he willing to wait?
Nicki does he think maybe a pup has passed away and started the infection

No, she's not showing. She's overweight, short/wide/stocky body.

As far as he could tell all the puppies are still alive...he could feel them all moving...he said maybe a fingernail??? :confused: He doesn't really know. Yes she's on antibiotics, she had to have a shot when I first got her in because her temp was so high. I was scared I would lose her. The only discharge she had was losing her mucus plug...no green, so I know she hasn't miscarried. I asked about spaying...he said if she has to have a c-section it's something to think about...but he doesn't feel like it will be a recurring theme...just a fluke. I don't know much about it...except what I've read.

OH...yep...just like my Lola. I don't have a clue in the world if she's pregnant or not. She has milk but it could be false. She's on day 57 today I think. I may get her an xray, but I just spent a fortune at the vet on Hadley...so I think I'll hold off because I really doubt she has any babies. I can't hear any heartbeats. :(

Just wanted to let you know I am so sorry to here about your problems. I sure hope there will not be any problems through out the weekend. My prayers are with you and your mamma.

Nikki, you really do have your hands full right now. I'm so sorry to hear about the infection and am really hoping all will turn out well for you, mom and babies.

Do they ever induce puppies the way they do people?

Thanks guys...the only way to induce puppies is to administer oxytocin...but it can be quite dangerous, especially if they're in the process of delivering. I THINK that's the only way to induce...but I could be wrong...

Nicki, I am so sorry for the trouble she is having!!! I will be sending a special prayer for her, babies, and you!

My D'Lynn is due May 12th.

I'm due May 20th with a human baby. It could get interesting... :eek: Should we place bets on who goes first?

I hope you have a backup plan in case you both go into labor at the same time. My first baby was two weeks early and my second one was 8 weeks early. We will be praying for both of you.
