Why would you ask for your money back? It's still the same dog. A yorkie by any other name is still a yorkie. and if the buyer had done thier homework, they would have know that a Biewer Terrier is just a tri colored yorkie.

| No Longer a Member | You might want to look under Biewers on the puppyfind site, They certainly dont all look alike. I see some with all white faces and some golden biewers, even a chocolate and white biewers and lots and lots of traditional yorkie colors. |

| Is that the result of bad breeding though? I thought biewers were supposed to have specific color placement and that partis dont have that. Thats what I read on here anyway

If they are not yorkies, what are? Which breed are they registered as, and which registry are they registered with? Not all traditional yorkies look alike either. I bet the long time show breeders can tell which line a traditional came from just by looking at them.

According to some, breeding any yorkie other than a traditional is bad breeding.* many breeds of dogs were used to create the yorkshire terrier, that* is why all of these different colors keep showing up. They carry a lot of recessive genes.

| Yes, you're right, they are supposed too have specific color placement. With the partis, they don't have specific color replacement. |

If you notice the biewer heading is also where some sellers have chosen to list their parti's.

| This is a very interesting thread, as I have learned some new things. I do wish that there wasn't so much bickering back and forth. I don't think anyone is putting down any dog, whether it be Yorkie, Parti or Biewer, so I really just don't understand what all this 'rage and fuss' is all about ![]() I gather that the AKC says a Parti is a tri-colored yorkie. I gather that that haven't excepted the Biewer as a separate breed (yet). What I don't understand is that if there are people/organizations that are spending not only money but countless hours of research, etc to *try* and establish this *new separate breed* then why should anyone be so upset about it I mean, if it *happens* isn't that a great thing? If they do find this to be a new and separate breed, than isn't that a good thing? ....maybe I am missing something |

Te simply changed the name nd want all Biewer breeders to accept their school of thought. I personally believe that there are two different types of biewers out there. In The original Biewer yorkies, just as in the partis, the blck on their faces turned to tan or gold just like traditional yorkies. But there are some out there that do not change like the yorkies. I'm not trying to step on any toes, just making an observation. If these other Biewers are not purebred yorkies, then those who are attempting to establish them as a separate breed, need to determine which dogs were used to create the breed, stop mixing them with yorkies splitters and record their breeding results, before they will be able to establish them as a separate breed. And those who still have the biewer yorkshire terriers need to be allowed to separate them selves from the other group and keep them as Biewer yorkshire terriers. Now those are just my thoughts, I'm not trying to push that idea on anyone else.
