Yes you are coorect on the color thing.* I've read that it is because of different spotting genes in the two.
According to some, breeding any yorkie other than a traditional is bad breeding.* many breeds of dogs were used to create the yorkshire terrier, that* is why all of these different colors keep showing up. They carry a lot of recessive genes.
