tail docking

When do yorkies get their tales docked? How many days old do they have to be, and what is the oldest they can be? I've searched on-line for an answer to this question, but I am told that many vets no longer do this because it is a form of animal cruelty... is this true? I have two yorkies, both have their tails docked, but this is how I purchased them... is it true this is cruel?

Help!

My yorkie is doing something weird. She makes a movement like is going to vomit, then a weird sound?

she started making a movement like she was going to vomit, but she didn't actually vomit. Then a weird sound come out of her like a snore. What can I do? Is this normal? [LIST][/LIST]

Just want to say hi!

Hi everyone, I'm a proud mama of a 8 wk. old yorkie boy, Rigley. He came home last Friday and is absolutely wonderful. He's a little ball of energy at a weight of 1 lb 2 oz! He already knows to go "pee pee" in his outdoor area when I say the potty word! He's eating good and goes right to sleep in his crate at night and actually sleeps for at least 7 hours!!!! He's stolen my heart!!!!
I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions and concerns so I'm glad this site is here.

Hello all I'm new to this group. I just lost my beloved Niki two weeks ago. I was blessed to have him for 21 years. I also have my Little Bitty Rascle who now needs to have surgery. I am so conserned as he is a rescue and I'm not that sure of his age. He was in very bad health when I found him on the street just before a bad storm. He had no hair from his waist back and hundreds of fleas and skin and bones. He is much better after 3 years with me. I also noticed some small petit mals. Now the vet...
