Hello all I'm new to this group. I just lost my beloved Niki two weeks ago. I was blessed to have him for 21 years. I also have my Little Bitty Rascle who now needs to have surgery. I am so conserned as he is a rescue and I'm not that sure of his age. He was in very bad health when I found him on the street just before a bad storm. He had no hair from his waist back and hundreds of fleas and skin and bones. He is much better after 3 years with me. I also noticed some small petit mals. Now the vet wants to put him under to neuter him as he has a spot on his testies, and his prostrate is slightly enlarged. She then said we can clean his teeth at the same time. This causing him to have to stay under longer. I'm so scared. Does anyone have anything they would like to share with me? I'm truely wondering if vets get commission on the surgery they do.
