Nuts about Nose Work

Eddie's been taking Nose Work classes lately. I've written a little about it here, and so has quicksilver. It's the newest dog sport out there, originated by a guy who trains Police K-9 dogs. http://www.funnosework.com

Basically, dogs are taught to find odors. They start by finding a treat tucked in one of several boxes, then they put an essential oil odor in with the treat. In later classes, you remove the treat and the dog finds the odor alone and is later rewarded with a treat....

Well so far since Lollis episode in March, she has been really healthy. She was, for a while, giving me trouble with getting into the cats litter box.. She thought it was a treat but the problem is that treat was also covered in litter.. So I was really afraid that the litter would do something horrible to her but she passed everything just fine and we have made precautionary measures to make sure she cannot get into the litter again.

But over time I just notice some weird things going...

I had heard about a sport called Nose Work right here on YT. It sounded like a good match for Thor, because he is very reactive around other dogs and unfortunately, this reactivity precludes him from any Agility work.
