| Groomer messed up I'm just not sure how to handle this. I have been going to the same groomer since I got Gracie a couple of years ago and have never had issues. Last time, they cut off Holly's top knot. I did not blame them because I guess I was not specific enough. Today, I asked them to cut Holly down to about one inch and leave her top knot hair alone. I asked them to just clean up Gracie. Well, they cut the wrong dog short! Gracie came out short, with a top knot, and Holly came out cleaned up and they cut her bangs again! I did not say anything, I probably should have. What should I say next time? Or should I call the owner now and say something? I spent $90 between the two of them including the tip. No harm done. Gracie looks cute and her hair will grow back out, but Holly has a cotton coat that mats too easily and she really needs to be cut a bit shorter. Advice please?

| I would probably call the owner...tell them of the mistake and have them do Holly the way they should have in the first place. Free of charge of course! Sorry your experience was a bad one. Good Luck!

| Groomer messed up I would also call them to tell them they messed up and they should correct their mistake free of charge. From now on, I'd not take them both on the same day. That way, they won't confuse the dogs and your orders. Lorna Newlin |

| Ugh!...I do sympathise with you! My first and last grooming experience was not good..she just hurt my baby! Bathed her without conditioner!..didn't cut anything on her head (wouldn't have got near her!) and cut the hair on her legs too short..she looked ridiculous! I too paid my money and never said anything! Since then I have been snipping away at Pixie's hair myself..too nervous to go to another groomer! She is so good with me too..I can do almost anything with her with no fuss. I wish I could give you some good advice! Are you still going to stick with them or find another groomer? If you are going to go back then I would speak to them and explain that there was a misunderstanding..they should then rectify it with no extra cost.

| Thanks guys. I called the shop and asked to speak to the owner. She had gone for the day. I got the gal that groomed Holly. She said she questioned the instructions when she found that Holly had some mats. She nearly called me to clarify, but did not. As it turns out, they got the girls descriptions mixed up on their client card. I will take Holly back tomorrow and they will clip her shorter at no charge. The gal was very nice about it. They said they would correct the card so the mistake does not happen again.

| Holly went back today and got a modified puppy cut. Dang it I forgot to remind them not to cut the bangs and top knot. They took more off her head than they did yesterday! I'm beginning to think that my baby Holly will never have a long top knot like her sister does. The gal at the shop was so nice. I wish more companies would teach their employees to own up to their mistakes and treat their customers like royalty. That is sure the way I was treated and I so appreciate it!
