WOW.. Sorry to hear that. I am so happy she is doing better.. Praise the Lord! When I thought I was doing bad there is always someone that needs the prayers worse.. Sweet little Girl...I pray you recover completely!

Keep Praising God!!

Miracles are happening - yesterday (Wed.) Rose made steady improvements. The doctors eased off the sedatives. She responded well. She's moving A LOT! She was nodding her head yes or no to answer questions. The doctors decided to go ahead and started weaning her off the respirator. It will be a very slow process to give her some time to adjust. They told Rose's parents that she would be very crabby as she comes off all the meds.

Then last night, Rose was busy. She pulled out of her restraint. She's managed to kick both legs off the same side of the bed. She was using the toes on her right foot to try to pick at the IV that's in her left foot. After all that, she finally got some rest overnight. She has had a good morning today. The Doctor was happy that she was able to respond on command when he asked her to move her left hand and left leg (both are at least weaker than the other side because the surgery affected the right side of her brain).

Then just a few minutes ago - her mom sent this note

- Doctors have removed Rose's tubes in her mouth. She's totally breathing on her own. She can even talk ... well, whisper. She asked her mom where she was and then she asked why.

She's really wiggly and squirming.

Praise God! Thank you all who have been praying. Hopefully these are all signs that she will make a full recovery. Miracles can happen

This afternoon has brought some unbelievably happy news. The best of which ... Rose wrote her name TWICE on a piece of paper. That is the talk of the entire Pediatrics floor.

She asked if she could go home. She wanted her diaper off. She talks at least in whispers.

The tears of joy have absolutely been pouring today - with her family and I know for me when I learned of her progress. Her family is so incredibly grateful! Thank you all for her prayers.

Keep praying that the left side of her body continues to improve.

I am soooo pleased the news is better...and the fact the poor little mite is so young should also work in her favour...just make sure that your pals know to keep her monitored from now on and maybe they can do surgery on her and clip the aneurysm so it dies off and doesn't affect her again.
Thanks so much for all the comments on me....not the place to talk about what happened to me at my appointment today...not so good news lol...but I'll put it up on my own prayer thread as this is Rose's

Rose is a sweet little girl she loves to dance, go to Disney World & play with her family's 2 weimaraners. Rose had beautiful dark long hair past her waist. A nurse was nice enough to help the family donate Rose's hair to Locks of Love - 20 inches worth of hair. The nurse braided some for the family to keep and is sending the rest for the company to make a wig for a cancer victim.

I am praying that somehow there is still a miracle that Rose can be the same little girl. I know God has a plan for this family.

Today is Rose's 7th Birthday. She did not have an easy night.

Yesterday was a bit slower day for Rose. She has decided she wants to use a portable toilet they have placed in her room, so that's encouraging.

Evening and overnight were difficult. She really struggled. She would wake up every half-hour or so because he left leg hurt or because she had to go to the bathroom or some other reason.

Physically, Rose is recovering. She has weakness on her left side (arm and leg, even vision). She cannot sit or stand alone. She is getting stronger, but it is baby steps as she slowly recovers. She's spent roughly 10 days on several unbelievably strong medicines. She's being weaned off those. In fact, she's even on a couple meds to counteract the craving her body feels for the meds.

Today is Rose's 7th birthday. Her parents wished her Happy Birthday when she woke up, and she asked if she could have cake

Rose is getting better each day. Her mom says that she smiles regularly and even giggles occasionally. She has managed to figure out a way to sit up sort of (without the use of her left hand or leg). She wraps her right foot around the rail of the hospital bed and uses her right hand to push herself up. She wanted the TV on earlier today. Her parents tried to get her to say TV. She pointed to it. She drew a rectangle in the air. She even spelled TV in the air. Finally, she said TV

She had a 'swallow test' this afternoon, which didn't go so well. She has to show that swallowing goes to her esophagus not her lungs. But she was pretty sleepy today and refused to drink the barium. So the test never happened. They will try again tomorrow.

Doctors are talking about rehab facilities to send her to. She would stay there for a while to re-learn how to use her left hand and leg enough to function at home.

Her parents say that it's a wonderful thing to see that smile again!
