So glad to see this good news. God is good! I've been following but not posting, but wanted to say I'm still praying for little Rose's recovery to a healthy little girl again.

Rose had a busy weekend as her parents 'checked out' Rose a couple times for some time away from the rehabilitation center. They went shopping for a while on Saturday, then home for a bit. Within 5 minutes of being home, her dad found Rose climbing on the kitchen counter (looking for a bowl so she could have some shredded cheese).

Sunday, they all went to see a family movie. She loved it.

She has been released from speech therapy!!

Her foot is healing quickly.- Thank you for the prayers

She still has some troubles seeing anything to the left. That peripheral issue will be something that they believe she will simply learn to live with during her life. - But I know God is so good, and she has had received so many miracles, so I'm praying for this to change too.

This week, her parents are lining up outpatient therapy schedules, talking with everybody at Rose's school about getting her back to school next week — and trying to convince Rose it's a good thing to go home and back to school -- because right now, Rose is asking nurses if she can stay at the rehabilitation center.

Pray for her confidence, this may be stemming from not being comfortable with her appearance right now. Lack of hair, huge scar and she has to wear a helmet all the time to protect her head.

Thanks so much for the update. It sounds like Rose is doing great considering all she has been through. I don't remember, does Rose have any brothers or sisters at home? How long will she have to wear the helmet? I know that will probably bother her but hopefully the kids at her school will be nice to her. I will continue to pray that Rose make a full and speedy recovery.

Rose has a brother who is a freshman or sophomore in HS & a sister who is in I think 4th grade. They have missed very much having her at home.

I forgot to tell you all how Rose - who is an active little dancer & loves to tumble, has been trying to do cartwheels - of course there is some joy in this behavior, but also great concern that she will fall and hurt herself.

I'm not sure how long she will wear the helmet at this point.

Rose got to go home on Friday afternoon

Rose continues to work on her strength and balance, particularly in her mid-section. She will have some limitations when she returns to school tomorrow. No playground equipment. No swings. And as I noted before she still has some problems with her vision on the left side. Everybody at her school has been wonderful and very supportive of Rose and her entire family.

She also starts outpatient rehab tomorrow. She has rehab three times a week at the rehabilitation center.

Her mom said today, that since coming home, Rose has only said a few hundred times that she wants to go back to the rehabilitation center.

Home has been an adjustment for the entire family. But Rose is slowly coming around and settling in. Praying school and the busy therapy schedule will go well. They will have to drive quite a ways to get to the therapy sessions - so I hope that doesn't get too tiresome for everyone.

Rose's first week of school was hard work. She had two days of before-school outpatient therapy at the rehabilitation center, plus all five days of school. She had some eyestrain issues and a few headaches. She is starting to work with a visual therapist this week to address the left field block or deficit.

Rose has an associate who helps her through her day-to-day activities at school, so that's been huge. She seems to be happier about being home and being with her siblings now.

Rose's classmates were sweet enough to wear helmets to school the second day. That sure was special for Rose!

This week will include a re-check with the neurosurgeon, which the parents are looking forward to -- since he hasn't seen Rose since late-January.

I am glad to hear Rose is adjusting well to being home and going to school. That was so sweet of the other kids to wear helmets. Is the associate that helps her in school an adult or a child? I wonder how long she will need an associate. It is wonderful that she is getting all the care she needs so she can get back to leading a normal life. I continue to pray that Rose makes a complete recovery.
