Little Rose is in our prayers too. I think she has a good thing going for her in regards to her age, Those little people can heal so well with the right circumstances, I pray her recovery is fast and complete. I will pray for you as well Highland Yorkies.

Thank you all for your prayers for Rose! She is doing so much better. But I am sure her family would so appreciate your continued prayers.

Rose was moved out of Pediatric ICU on Tuesday night and into her own room in the Pediatric wing at the hospital.

She has been working on rehab at the hospital — physical therapy twice a day to work on walking, occupational therapy twice a day to keep her left hand working correctly and speech therapy to help with eating and talking.

They are discussing rehab plans to move Rose to a facility that serves children in our community.

Praising God for all the strides this little one has made.

I just found this thread. I'm so sorry to hear what happened to Rose but glad she is responding so well now. I'll certainly add her to my prayer list.

More good news. Rose will be transferred from the hospital on Monday to a pediatric rehab facility.

She's making progress, though still very weak on her left side. With a great deal of assistance, she has been walking further and further each day. Her voice is still a whisper, but she can at least tell her parents what she wants and doesn't want. She is still on feeding tube for now.

Please keep Rose in your prayers

Thank you for your continued prayers for Rose.

Rose moved yesterday to the pediatric rehab center. Her mom said that Rose was certainly apprehensive at first. But, she is excited about the pool there. One of the things that helped Rose most though, was a meeting with a very special young lady who has been through the same thing as Rose.

Rose continues to make progress. She can now climb in and out of her hospital bed with little to no assistance.

The Rose quote of the day: 'Anything pureed tastes disgusting.' ... Needless to say, she's on a puree-only diet :-)

Rose managed a HUGE milestone — she can now walk all by herself!

Her balance is improving daily. Her strength is getting really good in her left hand and leg. There are still some flexibility and mobility things that she's working on.

The really big challenge is working on her swallow strength so they can get her off the feeding tube and eating regular foods.
