I JUST bought a GHD strainghtner from Overstock.com and it's supposed to be the creme dela creme of straightners. I hope it's all that n then some!! I am of Indian (India) decent and have long black/brown hair that is heavy and I'm wondering what straighners you all use and if you like it! I'm excited to get my GHD!!! Thanks- Viv

| I don't use a straightener so I am really no help here, but for Christmas two years ago I bit the bullet and bought my daughters CHI (LOL, see I think that is the name) straighteners. They love them, and they seem to be holding up great. One of my girls has thick, long wavy hair that is beautiful but very difficult to manage, the other has super thin, fine hair.

| My girls have a CHI too. One has soft medium curly hair and the other's is mostly straight with some funky waves in it. I've always heard the CHI is the best but don't know anything about the one you ordered. Good luck!

| I have a Sedu, which is very comparable to a CHI (from what I've read!) I actually bought mine second hand off a girl who had coarse curly hair. She loved it but got a CHI as a gift so gave up her Sedu. The biggest difference is that the Sedu has a dial to change the heat settings, where I think the CHI is one setting only. And the Sedu also has a swivel cord which I think is very nice! My last straightener didn't and I was constantly straightening the cord back out.

| I have a Chi, but after this one dies I will be getting a GHD or a Sedu. They are supposed to be very good. Enjoy your new GHD and I hope you give us a review. |

| I'm lucky and my mom babysits for the lady who does my hair, so she gets us discounts on all sorts of things. I have incredibly thick and coarse hair with weird waves and it frizzes really bad in even the slightest humidity. This lady recommended the CHI iron back when they first came out and got it for me at her cost. I was hesitant to pay even that much but that thing has been a life saver!!!! I've also used one by Uni (an off brand) but I didn't like it as well even though it did have the temperature dial. It seemed to collect gunk on it much worse than the CHI does. I think nowadays, most quality ceramic hair irons (CHI ) are probably about the same though. I sure wouldn't do without one! -C

| I have a ton of hair girl...so I have to get the 1 inch. Plus my last one was a 1 inch and it was perfect and is what I'm used to. I want the mini for travel...but they are too pricey! I will let you know, I should have it be next week latest! -Viv

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | K-E-R-A-T-I-N-E Treatment ladies. I used to be able to wash and go, maybe some mousse or gel, but now, that all my hair has turned gray (covered by a wonderful bright red!) I could not keep up with the coloring, re-touch every 2 weeks, blow drier AND straightener iron, to walk out to our humid weather and have more than an hour of work and damage to my hair gone down the drain. So I had the keratine treatment done, best thing ever! I had it done at the salon, I've heard horror stories from people buying it from Ebay or Amazon and having it done at home. I am very happy with it, and Im planning on doing it again....my straightener is Corioliss, I bought it at the Mall, almost 3 years ago, the black model, for dry hair only, (the pink is for wet and dry) next one will be a CHI, I still use the silk oil from them and smells wonderful!
