| Neti Pots I read an article on the Neti Pot, and was wondering if anyone on YT uses it?? Does it actually work? I have sinus problems, and this time of the year is the worst..... I am thinking about trying this. For those who don't know what a Neti Pot is here is a link: http://www.oprah.com/health/oz/oz_20..._350_106.jhtml You can watch a demonstration on YouTube. Just search Neti Pot. Opinions?? Comments??!! |

| Yes, yes, yes, YES! Omgosh they are the BEST! At first I was a little bit chicken, but one day I was in so much pain I just didn't care so I tried it and omg! This time of year I am usually in bed 90% of the time with awful sinus infections and pain, but this year I use the neti pot once in the morning and then again before I go to bed. I have still gotten a couple of sinus infections, but they have been minor. Only ONCE (and that was just the other day) did I have to take anything for pain due to my sinuses. That is amazing for me!

| HECK YEAH! It works great!!!! And best of all, no side effects from pills Whatever you do, though, LISTEN TO THIS DO NOT hold one side of your nose when you blow it afterwards, it will clog up your ears for hours or even days. I made that mistake and will never do THAT again Good luck, I hope it helps you out

| Another tip - make sure you use WARM water. DO NOT USE COLD WATER!!!! It will HURT. It will hurt worse than natural childbirth. It will put you on your knees on the floor in tears and praying to your higher power to take you NOW. Please listen to this tip. I speak from experience!

| Yes, you lean over the sink and pour warm salt water in one side of your nose, it goes up through your sinus and come out the other side of your nose. Then you tip your head over and do it from the other side. Then blow your nose. It sounds horrible, I know, but I swear it really works! It has been a miracle for me. I have awful sinus issues and this has worked better than any drug!

| Thanks for the info!! I can't take any sinus/allergy medications, so for years I have just put up with the pain and irritation, but this could work! I am going to look into where to buy one from. Thank you so much for your time and suggestions! |

| You open your mouth and breathe in and out of your mouth while you do it.

| Another tip - do not use table salt. It doesn't dissolve as easily as the kind that comes with the neti pot (you can also buy refills wherever you buy the neti pot). The only diff is the kind that comes with the neti pot is ground into a finer powder so it dissolves faster and easier and no risk of snorting a salt crystal

| Desperate times call for desperate measures... I've been sick since before Christmas, and now it seems to be coming back...and I haven't gotten totally well yet! I'm always stuffed up & sneezing, even when not sick...probably since BIRTH! So I really wanted to try this Neti thing. Well, I'm so desperate today I didn't want to wait for one to come in the mail if I bought it online, and I sure don't feel like going shopping around town so.... http://www.ehow.com/how_2138632_own-neti-pot.html I just did it!!! I just used a water bottle with the tapered squeezy top. I shook up the warm salt water in it really good to make sure it mixed well. It worked!!! I was stunned! It actually came out the other nostril just like it was supposed to! I really thought I'd be so clogged up after a lifetime that it woudn't come out the otherside, but it did! I feel like a Neti Guru now!! I can breath!!!!!!!! YIPPEEE!!!!!! |
