| Wow that was expensive Chachi and Jewels went in for their annual checkup and i about died it was $450. I didnt realize it was going to be that much when I took them in. It covered their shots,a heartworm test, a stool check and wellness bloodwork where they check all their organs. My Husband had a cow!!!!!

| That's the reason I decided to do a wellness plan @ my vet.....I'd rather pay a little each month than a whole chunk like that at a time. Wow....we forget how expensive pets can be!

| This SAME thing happened to me a month ago...I took Hootie in for her 12 week checkup and Hobbs in to get his nail clipped and I walked out of there with a $350 bill. I wasn't even in there 30 minutes! I had to change vets. I don't appreciate them doing all these procedures without asking me and then charging me for me. They need to say, hey, "Hootie needs this done and it costs this amount. Do you want it done?" My new vet used to work at my old vet and she told me that it isn't the price they charge for individual services, but they do LOTS and LOTS of unnecessary little things and charges me for them and that is why my bill was ALWAYS so expensive. Sorry this happened to you. |

| Wow, that's alot! I took Jake yesterday and for a thorough checkup, stool check and Revolution, the total was $56. I thought that was reasonable. But, they only gave me one dose of the Rev. because once he gains a little more weight, they'll put him on the pills instead of the stuff that goes on the back of his neck. He goes back next week for a shot, I'm sure I'll pay much more. |

| I believe the heartworm tests are quite expensive. It's a whole lot cheaper to give them the heart worm meds then to get them tested. |

| Seems when I took Adonis in for his annual in July, it was $110. That also included 12 months of heart guard! Then again, I live in Alabama, and I think everything is cheaper here. |

| I don't care where you live - that is ridiculous. You need to find a new vet. Ask your friends/associates for referrals. My theory is, they see an expensive dog walk in and they figure you can afford it. Vet school is long and expensive, but let's be real. |

| WOW! I think that is alot - I know my vet is more than reasonable though.... over the summer my old dog got sick while we were on vacation. My daughter took him to our vet. He kept him for over 24 hours, on IV's until I could call in and talk to him. He had to put my sweetheart to sleep (he was in renal failure) and he only charged me $25.00 for all of that! I was astounded - I thought the 24 hour stay would have been way expensive. I know that I am lucky!

| Heartworm tests are not expensive. I would look at the bill and then call another vet you have heard good things about by other toy breed owners and ask what they charge for the various services. Your bill was way too high in my opinion. In my experience the over-priced vets are not very good either, I don't know if it shows they care more about money or what. |

| Wait until you hear this! So i took Tony to the vet the day we left for vacation to make sure he was ok to travel (like a good mommy would) and the bill was 65. I thought that was very reasonable. After I found out that they charged me 20 to cut his nails. I almost had a heart attack especially because I just actually read the bill yesterday and his appt was 8/11.... i really need to pay more attention |
