This SAME thing happened to me a month ago...I took Hootie in for her 12 week checkup and Hobbs in to get his nail clipped and I walked out of there with a $350 bill.
I wasn't even in there 30 minutes!
I had to change vets. I don't appreciate them doing all these procedures without asking me and then charging me for me. They need to say, hey, "Hootie needs this done and it costs this amount. Do you want it done?"
My new vet used to work at my old vet and she told me that it isn't the price they charge for individual services, but they do LOTS and LOTS of unnecessary little things and charges me for them and that is why my bill was ALWAYS so expensive. Sorry this happened to you.
