Well, I sympathize but am also going through big bucks here too! Little Sahara has had a cough and the Vet put her on Clavamox which seemed to do the trick for a week, then she started to hack again. Took her back in and the Vet said she wanted to give her a chest X-Ray and do blood work. The CBC showed an elevated white cell count of 2700, and normal is 1500 to 1600. The CBC ruled out many things and points to some sort of bug, though without a throat swab, which will require them to put her under anathesia because, she is so tiny. So the Vet put her on Cefa Drops, which worked like a charm for 7 days, and now she is hacking again! So far, it is about $375 and will easily be another $$$, afraid to ask!
