| Sorry I should add that this lady has like 6-7 different mama and daddy yorkies that she breeds. Which is why my moms pup was older than zoe. Sorry for any confusion! I'm becoming very concerned and upset. I've bought everything I need for this puppy and haven't heard a peep. If I can't get Zoe, I don't know who else has Yorkies around my area. I put a 100 deposit and will be paying 442 at pick up. I can't spend another 100 on another pup. All I have is the 500 saved for Zoe. The breeder said she already registered their microchips under our names though. |

| Hmm. Well, the lady was very nice and seems to take very good care of the puppies. I guess I will just see what happens! |

| Can you explain how it's a red flag that she calls them mini Yorkies? Sorry I don't understand that, lol. And I can afford the vet bills and to take care of her. |

| She's registered with the AKC and so are the puppies. |

| Because a yorkie is just a yorkie. Using words like teacup, micro and mini is just words bad breeders use to make money. They also normally use females that are under 5 pounds for breeding to make these smaller yorkies and that is very dangerous for the female yorkie and it's unethical.

| That doesn't mean anything. There are a lot of bad breeders and puppy mills that AKC register, the AKC does not check to make sure it's a good breeder or not a puppy mill.

| I really don't think just because I pay 542 for a puppy means the breeder is not reputable. Zoe's breeder does this because she loves Yorkies and it's something to do on the side since she is retired. You could pay 1000 and end up with a sick pup. I'm not sure why people assume because people aren't breaking an arm and leg to pay for a puppy means they are going to get a sick puppy. Someone I know of actually just spent 800 on a yorkie that died a few days later. So price doesn't guarantee the health. Also, just because I don't want to spend more than 500 on a pup doesn't mean I can't afford to take care of one. That's absurd. This breeder is registered with my state, and the AKC. All puppies have a health guarantee and are micro chipped. A lot of people buy from her and use them as show dogs. So she is very reputable. |

| I'm not understanding what makes you assume this breeder isn't a good one? She definitely does not run a puppy mill. I saw her old house where she kept the puppies and there was no room for a puppy mill. It was in a wonderful neighborhood. I've seen puppy mills and this place could not of been one. |

The reason why $500 is so low for a puppy is because most reputable breeders charge $1000-1200. Why? Because of the cost of the parents, the food, the shots, the vet visits, the training, the grooming, the puppy pads, the cost of the crates, X-pens, not to mention all of the work that goes with it. If she charges $500 for a puppy, that's exceedingly cheap, considering that she would be losing thousands per puppy.... I don't understand what you mean by "registered by state". Also, AKC registration doesn't always mean everything--puppy mills, BYBs, it's all easy for them to get AKC registration. Just because you pay $800 doesn't mean that you will get a sick puppy. People sell sick puppies all the time, from $200, to $500, to $800, to $1200, to $5000. You just have to do your research and make sure to spot all the red flags.

I hope you don't feel like me or the other members on here are being rude. We are just being completely honest--even if it's brutally honest.
