| I have ZERO tolerance for selfish re-homers! I am SOOOOO angry right now! The runt of the litter that my Blazer came from- the pup that looked almost identical to my Blazer and the one I worked on for so long to keep alive- his owners have decided to regime him because they don't like how he reacts to their kids when they all play together. First off, train your kids to leave him alone when he has had enough! Second, train your dog to not nip or bite when he's had enough! Luckily the breeder (my neighbor) saw the owner's post on FB stating that she is going to "get rid of him" and contacted her right away reminding her of the clause in the contract stating that if they can't keep the pup to bring him back to her. Anyway, there are a few other people interested in taking him in but still, it would have been so much more simple to train first! I'd rather the pup go to a family that will love him and not resent him AND who will properly train him, but still!!!! UGH!!!! Ok, sorry, rant over. |

| I feel you and understand but on the other hand, people that would so cavalierly treat a dog in this manner probably won't give him the best life anyway and likely aren't going to change. So sad but hopefully the little guy can go to a wonderful forever home next time where he will be pampered and loved and given a beautiful life.

| Sounds to me like he needs a home with no children. Yes, you can tell your children to leave a pup alone but many people don't and in his case he has already been bugged by children. Sometimes this sticks with a pup forever. Don't really understand why a runt would go to a home with rough housing children.

| Why would the breeder sell to a home like that in the first place? Glad to hear at least she will take him back. A lot of breeders would not give a crap after the money is in their pocket. |

| I dont like what the owners are doing, but I blame the breeder for the situation this puppy is caught up in now. The puppy was placed in a situation by the breeder.....a RUNT placed by a breeder in a home with children?????????? Thank God the puppy is still alive and can even BE rehomed. Hopefully, the breeder will consider the situation she is placing this little fella in and place the baby in a home WITHOUT KIDS!!! Because now, the pup is probably not ever going to be comfortable around kids and should not be put in that situation again! Shame on the breeder for doing this to that puppy in the first place. Yorkie Yakker | That's pretty pathetic. If the family had taught the kids to be gentle with the little guy he probably would be good with children. People like that are so selfish and shouldn't be allowed to have a dog in the first place.

| I can understand why you feel that way but be happy they were looking for a home for him and didn't just throw him in the backyard or take him to the city shelter or just let him loose on the street like SO many people do when they can't handle or take care of their animals any more. I much rather someone rehome a dog instead of either keeping it in a bad situation or dumping it.

| Let's hope there is a better forever home for this little guy out there. He never should have been in that situation in the first place, and luckily he will be out before he gets hurt (or worse).

| Ok, let me clarify a few things: This pup was the "runt" the smallest at birth, however, by the time he went home to his new family he was one of the mid-sized pups and now weighs 7 1/2 pounds. The family that took him had previously had a smaller dog- a 10 pound poodle (or something like that) so the kids were used to being around small dogs. This other dog, however, was old and wasn't playful. After it died they got the puppy and the kids were not taught (apparently) how to be around a small puppy. They love(d) him like crazy but didn't learn to leave him alone when he wanted space- thus the nipping issue. I FULLY agree that I would rather see a pet go to a good home where it will be loved forever instead of staying with a family that resents it and treats it poorly. I just hate how some people think that they don't have to do any work to get a great dog. If it isn't perfect and they actually have to take time to train it than it is too much for them and the dog gets kicked to the curb. Not the dog's fault that it doesn't do what you want it to if you don't train it to know what you want! Oh, and now that family wants to get a kitten! Seriously, that is what makes me so angry- pets are not disposable. If you can't handle the commitment of a long term pet than DON'T GET ONE! There are 6 other families (all middle age plus) with no kids that are ready to take this pup in and love it forever. Now I'm just worried that this family will change their mind and keep him and then end up being mean to the pup.

| Dumb parents, I have two pups 4 lbs (11 months) and 3.5 lbs (5 months). I also have two little girls 4 years and 8 years. They have been taught how to treat the little guys. Also, when my 4 year old gets too excited the puppy is separated and put in play pen to let both calm down. Having little pups with little kids so long as the parents do their jobs. My kids are used to animals. We have cats, rabbits, turtles, fish, dogs and a horse. It is stupid people like them that cause these pups to get that cause problems everywhere. |

| A good breeder doesn't sell to people with little kids period no matter if they had a small dog or not before because accidents happen and when kids are involved the chances rise. I was 8 when we got our first puppy and we had, had a rescue before that and I was taught how to be with dogs but I still dropped our puppy a few times thank goodness I am short and my parents never let me hold him any where but on carpeted floors it could have been a lot worse.

| I'm glad he's okay and I'm sure he'll find a very loving home he deserves. As for those people... It's sad b/c there are so many of them. But I'm glad there are people that helps these poor pets that's about to get tossed out like an object. We bring them into our home with the intention of adding them to OUR FAMILY. Isn't it like having a "problem child"? If the child is having behavior issues, you'd seek help to remedy it and work hard to fix the problem. You wouldn't just "get rid of" your kid because s/he's not getting along with the other kids without even trying... |
