I can understand why you feel that way but be happy they were looking for a home for him and didn't just throw him in the backyard or take him to the city shelter or just let him loose on the street like SO many people do when they can't handle or take care of their animals any more. I much rather someone rehome a dog instead of either keeping it in a bad situation or dumping it.
