| I'm confused....did he mate with her Before or AFTER his surgery? I guess it doesn't matter..he would probably still be able to impregnate..hmmm 10 years old is WAY to old for her to be able to handle having pups!! Check out this link!! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...d-too-old.html

| I would think it could be very dangerous for your female to have puppies at this late age. I am not an expert in dogs but I used to raise Bengal cats and wouldn't ever have one give birth when she was that old. Listen to your vet and get the shot - puppies are cute but definitely not at the expense of your 10 year old. Good luck! |

| Yes, you should take her in. She's far too old for that. If it were me, I'd have her spayed now, if she is healthy. You could save her from other problems by having her spayed. If you will consider a spay, be sure to have blood work done first, to be certain she doesn't have any unknown health problems. Please keep us updated.

| Is this the same female you thought was pregnant in 2008? http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...ml#post2125190

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Sperm lives in the vas deferens for a couple of weeks after a castration. It is possible impregnate the female during that time.

| I'm not clear on how upset you really are. Sounds like you were doing the right thing by having the male neutered, but why have you never spayed the female? It almost sounds like you want puppies. And you haven't done anything for the female so far, so what do you mean, "am I doing the right thing . . .?" She needs to be spayed immediately, which really is the best thing for her health and should have been done about 9 years ago. IMO

| If all problems were so easy to solve..have her spayed asap..and she will never risk a pregancy or fatal unrine infection, pyrometra. |
