| Just spoke to the Woman from N.C. who gave away Female Yorkie I just spoke to the woman who gave away the female Yorkie in NC. She said that a person drove a long way to get her and did take her. She also said that she spoke to someone that then got on the internet and started making it sound really bad....that the vet did only tape her and that her stomach was seeping a little. She said she gave the dog away because she cared about her and couldn't care for her and didn't want her getting pregnant again. She added that her nerves were shot. I said, "Oh, so you have a puppy then?". She said yes, that the puppy is 5 weeks old and is very healthy and that she has been the one feeding him. She is feeding the pup the right things. Maybe, just maybe it isn't AS BAD as we think. HOPEFULLY it is not. The new owner said she would take her to the vet, I do find comfort in that. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the dog was properly cared for; I am just hoping and praying that she gets the care and love that she deserves now. Not just anyone would take a dog in that condition....a lot would just walk away or walk away and call ASPCA. So I'm hoping and praying a very special person has taken her home. |

| Thanks for an update. This story sickens me, and if I could've I would've drove up there and got the little girl myself. I hope she's alright now and I can't believe that woman kept a puppy. If she couldn't afford to take the girl to a vet what makes her think she can afford to take the puppy to a vet? Puppies are way expensive!! People irritate me sometimes....

I believe she is a breeder. She mentioned a few other purebreds she has for sale after I inquired about the puppy and asked if she was selling him. She said "Oh Honey, he is only 5 weeks old". So that part was good.

| That is good to know. If this woman traveled so far, she might be as concerned and want to help the poor dog like we do. let hope.

| I know, there is no excuse for this. I just hope the new owner is completely different. |

| I have been trying to call back I guess you were talking to her. She is a breeder, I've heard of her before but she didn't tell me her name. I didn't reconise it til someone did the reverse search on her. She doesn't care for the dog, for one she breed her too small and breed a hairless Yorkie with some kind of skin condition. What is to become of the puppy?. I guess I am the one who started talking about her on the internet, she said to call her back. I guess I'll know after I talk to her. She said she has several dogs I maybe intersted in. If she breeds, she should have enough money set aside to pay for vet care. |

| Thanks for the updates on this...I got in on the thread at the end of the last one... Thankfully there is some special angel out there that drove to come take this Mommy Yorkie~ Hopefully she will be given a wonderful new home. I do feel badly about the 5 wk. old puppy without her Momma....

| Did she say she was getting alot of harassing phone calls because of what was said on the internet? Was she told that we where saying she did take proper care of her dog? because she didn't. |

I TOTALLY agree. That poor dog should not have been bred. I sure hope her other animals are somehow faring a LOT better than this poor little girl is. She actually should be investigated for the sake of the animals. If she is a legal kennel, there would be surprise inspections. If she isn't legal, there needs to be an investigation. Maybe you could have someone go check it out like they are interested in the 6 month old male she has for sale for $800. If it is fine, we can have a better piece of mind for what they have found. If it is not, arrangements can be made to have an investigation started.

If ANYONE wants to see an unloved and abondoned yorkie who was NOT treated ...This link is to Precious - http://www.mylittlemia.com/precious.html I met Maureen a year ago while searching the net and found Precious's story - posted it everywhere hoping to get donations - Brittany of My Little Mia has her on her main page now to show what love can do with a MILL/Overbred mis-treated yorkie mommy - This is not Maureen and Precious website but the condensed story and you will CRY seeing this baby - I still talk to Mo - her new mom and have THIS picture of Precious from Christmas - I have more recent pics too - you would NOT believe how gorgeous she is - She now is getting groomed because she has SO MUCH hair ! If you scroll down the link and look at her BEFORE pictures - I will not post them ...they're TOO GRAPHIC - it makes THIS picture all the more amazing

No, she didn't say anything about harrassment. I'm not sticking up for this woman at all. I am grasping and hoping that this poor little girl is going to a better home. There is NO EXCUSE WHATSOEVER for that dog not being treated. She said she took her back to the vet and he said just to let it drain. I can't imagine a vet doing that surgery and taping her to begin with then telling someone to let is seep. If that is the case, the owner of this dog isn't the only one needing investigated.
