It does make me nervous that the first day to send out our packages was almost four days ago but I don't know who our buddy is I really don't want to just pick anonymous generic items and I don't actually do a lot of physical shopping because I have five young children, a dog, a household and a job- online baby! but online means shipping time too and custom (which is super fun) means creation time plus shipping time...insert image of cartoon cat franticly nibbling nails off here...nervous!

they usually give you more time, but for me it will be hard since we leave on a ten day vacation early in May. I would be able to get my box out by then, but I would feel bad if Lola's box came right before I left or while I was gone which would mean it would take a long time to post a proper thank you. This seems to happen with a lot of the GE's and it's hard to explain but I feel kind of insulted how posts wondering when we will get our names are ignored, would it kill them to at least post when they will be sending out the assignments. I sit here wondering what to plan for today, should I set aside time to go out to shop, buy material, should I plan to sew, or LOL do some paperwork. Please tell me that I am not the only crazy one feeling a little in limbo, LOL maybe I need a life, but we have no family in MI so Easter is just like another Sunday for me

It is hard and I do feel your stress about something that seems clear cut but then isn't, like this time line. But I try to remember that it is a privilege to get to have a gift exchange, that admin are people too with jobs and dogs and families (I'm thinking this is a volunteer position here, not a paid one ) and that they probably have the threads they are interested in and they might just not be the ones we are pining about especially with your situation I can see where the stress and pressure is on and I am sorry, how tough for you and whoever your buddy will be! I do think they put some real thought into the pairings though and I'm sure as long as everyone keeps positive and remembers that everyone here is participating because they want to be a sharing, caring (yeah I know, how care Bears right) interactive group and assume all have the best of intentions that this will be a fabulous GE! I remember on the last one someones box was misdelivered to a neighbor and they were feeling really hurt until their was a pm with the final (and obvious it was supposed to have been their buddy) person who was probably really wondering what had happened too, it all worked out in the end but I think only because ethere was good communication.

Today we are taking the kids to aN Easter egg hunt and then coming home and dying four eighteen packs of eggs ourselves. Tomorrow morning we will dress up and go to church and then we are blessed to have family nearby so we wil all get together and have Easter brunch :easter: anybody else?

oh today I am taking Lola to get microchipped at the pet store, they have a clinic that comes in weekly, I have to say I am nervous for her, but I want to get it done.

Aww, thank you I grew five sweet little babes but my love brought one to our relationship too so we roll six kids deep 13,11,8,8,6 and 4. And my sweet little lilah is two

Wow that is a lot to manage, I am surprised you have time for a pup and all this yorkie talk stuff.

well Lola is chipped and it went well, but they told me to keep a harness off her for about 4 days since the chip could work itself out of the needle hole, also no rough petting, I worry more about her rolling around on one of her toys. I think in two weeks I will take her back up to the pet store to have them run the scan over her to make sure it is still in there

Donna, I'm glad Lola's chipping went well lilah is my personal princess and unlike my beloved children who do not live to please me- she does. She does not outgrow her hand sewn clothes or disrespect anything I have knitted for her, she is my snuggle buddy, my comfort and my friend. She does not argue with me, she is like an extension of me. My shadow, reading my mind, my companion. And yorkie talk is the only social thing I subscribe to, I don't think I would do well extending myself otherwise- this is my social activity and I very much enjoy it so I make time for it as it is 'my' thing that I get just for me yes, regular life does keep me quite busy! I adore my wonderful human children but the friendship I have with lilah is different than the relationship I get to share with my children as they grow into their own little people, and of course each of those relationships is special in their own way.

It's a shame so many of our yorkie friends live far away, sounds like Lola and her could be buds,

And we are so excited that we got our buddy, so I am headed out now to pick up a few things. Let the fun begin!
