| My Trip To The Fabric Store I got a chance to go to the fabric store today. Let me just say is was a stressful/wonderful trip. Stressful? Cause I had my 2 year old son with me and he just wouldn't stop. He wanted to play with EVERYTHING. As adorable as that can be sometimes, it can get stressful when you are in a tiny store. Wonderful? Cause they have beautiful fabrics. I couldn't decided on what to get. But I finally made my decision and picked out these two beautiful fabrics. I just know they are going to look beautiful on Darla. I also managed to make my way over to Walmart to buy all the extra little things I needed to get, including a pattern that I need to figure out how to use. I tried to find someone at both places who would teach me, but they told me I had to wait another month for classes. But I talked to my Tia and she told me they were fairly easy and to watch a youtube video for help. So hopefully now that I got the ammo, I can find the time to actually pull the trigger and make a dress. I'm always soo darn busy. Gonna really try tonight though. So let me know what you think of the fabrics. I'll talk to ya's after I get back from dropping lunch off for the hubby and his co-workers.

| Hahaha... there's a tutorial on YT somewhere for that pattern (part of it anyway) Love the fabrics.... The pattern should have instructions inside... how to lay out and cut the pieces, then steps to construct and sew.... That's the pattern I use for Zhoie's dress... lol. You'll do fine!

| Quote: Thank you! That was what I was going for. We have a family vaca coming up on the 1st of April and just like everyone else in the family she needs a new wardrobe for the trip. I ordered a dresses already (crossing finger's they get here in time) but I wanted to give it a try and make her one myself. The better I get the more fabric I can buy =)

| Ok so after I took the hubs and his co-workers lunch, (homemade Mexican food) I came home and looked over my receipt. I had only spend $9 earlier on the fabric. Thinking this was a mistake (I could have sworn it said $9.99 a yard and I got a yard each) I went back. I live in a tiny town and its hard for the tiny stores to keep open so I wanted to make sure all was right. Well I came to find out that they were actually planning on going out of business. They weren't making very much money and it was hard to keep it open. BUT the good news is that this week they had a whole lotta business and customers begging them not to close. So they decided to give the store another 2 months. But since they were already planning on closing they had everything 50% off. Soooo I bought some more fabric. I couldn't resist myself. What do you guys think? You like?
