you may want to get some different velcro, by the looks of it what you have has adhesive on it and it will gumup your sewing machine needle. you will want the sew on kind instead.

Thanks everyone. This past week has been a crazy hectic one. I threw my hubby a big poker party that ended up being a bunch of drunk, loud, and crazy people that didn't leave my house till 4 a.m., and my cousin who came in from out of town for the week left last night. So I'm hoping after washing and cleaning today I will finally be able to start my 1st attempt on making Darla a dress tomorrow night. I've been reading up online about how to properly sew and how to do this and that, so I think I might be ready to give it a try. I'll keep you all informed on my progress as soon as I get going. =) I'm soo stinking excited. hehe

Thanks for the heads up. When I went to Walmart to get the velcro I had my little one with me and I just told the lady I wanted some velcro to make my doggy a dress and that was what she gave me. I can't believe I didn't even bother to look to see if it was what I actually needed. Thankfully my hubby said he can always use it so it wont go to waste. I will be sure to go today to get the other kind. =)
